Erling Haaland parties in Ibiza, Michael Olise jets off to New York – while Jack Grealish wastes no time in flying out after England omission… What Mail Sport’s XI of stars not going to the Euros are up to
The European Championship kicks off in just over 24 hours, but some of the continent’s best players will be watching the tournament from thousands of miles away.
As their countries compete for Europe’s biggest prize, a number of European players have already started their summer holidays after a long season.
Two weeks ago, Mail Sport came up with an XI of top players who will not be involved in Germany this summer.
Injuries prevented some of them from taking part in Euro 2024, but others were simply not deemed good enough or their country failed to qualify for the tournament.
So, what are they up to now?

Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois
The Real Madrid shot-stopper was left out of the Belgium squad after being plagued by injuries all season. He suffered a torn cruciate ligament at the start of the campaign, before tearing his meniscus.
It was a surprise to see him left out when he returned to full fitness and started the Champions League final.
But Courtois was all smiles recently as he played golf with his wife in a sunny part of the world with breathtaking views.

Defender: Pedro Porro
Tottenham’s Porro was left out of Spain’s provisional squad and survived the heartache of missing out at the last minute.
The 24-year-old has been enjoying his time off in Menorca, one of Spain’s Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean, and was spotted riding a jet ski with his partner.

Defender: Mats Hummels
The veteran was surprisingly left out of Julian Nagelsmann’s squad despite a solid season in which he played a crucial role in Borussia Dortmund’s run to the Champions League final.
Hummels was recently seen smiling at a beach club pool, despite the disappointment of potentially missing out on the chance to become European champions on home soil.

Defender: David Alaba

Right midfield: Michael Olise
The Crystal Palace winger failed to make the France squad despite an excellent season for the Eagles and remains eligible to play for England.
Olise headed to New York with Tyrick Mitchell at the end of May and appeared to be in his fashionista era as he wore an all-black outfit with glasses.

Center Midfield: Martin Odegaard
The Arsenal captain will not be present at the European Championships, as Norway failed to qualify for the tournament.
Odegaard was recently pictured abroad alongside former Spanish midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
Before that, he went on a mini outing with Gunners teammate Kai Havertz, who is set to take charge for Germany.

Center Midfield: Gavi
Barcelona superstar Gavi was expected to be one of the shining figures at the European Championships, but the 19-year-old will have to wait another four years after suffering a serious knee injury in Spain’s qualifying win against Georgia in November.
Instead of going on holiday like many of his colleagues, Gavi has shown his strong determination to get back to fitness ahead of the new season as he has been hard at work on the Barcelona training ground.

Left midfield: Jack Grealish
The Manchester City forward was surprisingly left out of the England squad despite being on the provisional list.
Grealish is known for his party antics and he wasted no time in flying to Dubai this week. As reported by The sunhe enjoyed some booze and at one point needed help as he made his way through a luxury hotel.

Forward: Marcus Rashford
Rashford paid the price after a poor season for Manchester United, as he was not even selected for the England provisional squad by Gareth Southgate.
He was recently spotted dancing at an exclusive beach bar-restaurant in Cannes and onlookers said the 26-year-old dined out with up to 12 friends at Baoli restaurant, where they said he spent around £3,700 on drinks and food on Saturday.

Forward: Viktor Gyokeres
The Sporting Lisbon striker had a fantastic season, scoring 43 goals in 50 appearances in all competitions for the Portuguese team.
However, Sweden failed to qualify for the tournament and it has given Gyokeres a chance to fully recharge as he was spotted poolside with friends and family during a holiday.

Forward: Erling Haaland
Like his international teammate Odegaard, the prolific striker will not be involved in Germany as Norway failed to qualify.
Haaland was pictured taking a break in Saint-Tropez, France earlier this week.
He was spotted on a yacht with friends in the luxury holiday resort, and was even joined by his father Alfie, who played for Nottingham Forest, Leeds and City during his Premier League career.
Haaland’s trip to Saint-Tropez came just days after he was seen partying at a club in Ibiza.
