Erik ten Hag will have airless talks with Cristiano Ronaldo on Tuesday morning in hopes of drawing a line under his fallout with the Manchester United star.

Ronaldo was banned from first-team training and was eliminated from the squad for Saturday’s draw at Chelsea after he refused to come on as a substitute in last week’s win over Tottenham and when he left Old Trafford before he was full-time.

Ten Hag wants to speak to Ronaldo to make sure he has realized his mistakes before reintegrating the 37-year-old.
