Erik ten Hag cut a relaxed figure as he was pictured dining with his wife Bianca during a holiday in Ibiza for the first time since Manchester United’s FA Cup final victory against Manchester City.

With his future as Manchester United manager still hanging in the balance, the 54-year-old Dutch coach appeared to stretch back in his chair as he sipped a glass of wine.

United have had a tumultuous season and have dropped to eighth place in the Premier League, but Ten Hag has still managed to guide his team to victory and the FA Cup this season.

But Sir Jim Ratcliffe and the Manchester United leadership team will now make a decision on Ten Hag’s future later this week.

United bosses had held a review of the season and had also scoured the management market for a possible replacement for Ten Hag.

Thomas Tuchel had emerged as one of the favorites to succeed the manager and reportedly held talks with Ratcliffe in Monaco last week.

It is understood the German is no longer eligible after revealing he would be taking a break from football.

According to The TelegraphTen Hag is frustrated by how long United’s end-of-season review has taken.

United will return for pre-season training in the first two weeks of July before heading on tour to the United States, where they will take on Arsenal in a friendly in Los Angeles on Saturday, July 27.

That means whoever takes over as Man United manager for the 2024-2025 season won’t have long to get their ducks in a row before the new season begins.

De Telegraaf claims that the Dutchman is afraid that the club is ‘at risk of falling behind in this summer’s transfer market’.
