Erik ten Hag confirms Christian Eriksen is RETURNING to the Man United squad against Everton after being out for over TWO months with an ankle injury, but Luke Shaw will miss the game after coming out against Brentford

- The English left back Shaw was rewarded with a new contract because of his good form
Christian Eriksen returns to the Manchester United squad for the first time in more than two months when they face Everton at Old Trafford, but Luke Shaw will miss the match through injury.
Eriksen returned to full training ahead of schedule this week and manager Erik ten Hag confirmed the Dane is available against Sean Dyche’s side.
The former Tottenham Hotspur and Inter Milan midfielder was initially ruled out until the end of April after damaging his ankle ligaments following a challenge by Reading’s Andy Carroll in the FA Cup on January 28.
But Ten Hag paid tribute to the efforts of Eriksen and United’s medical department to ensure a speedy comeback.
“The good news is that Christian Eriksen is back in training and will be back in the selection tomorrow,” Ten Hag said at his weekly press conference.

Shaw was forced off mid-week against Brentford in United’s 1–0 win
“I guess I was so angry about that bad tackle for a reason. We feared at first that we had lost him all season, but he worked very well and the medical department did very well.
“He will return to the squad and be available for the final stages of the season, so we are very happy with that. It was a very bad tackle and a very bad injury, it has been resolved and we are very happy with that now.’
However, Shaw is sidelined after going off before half-time in the win over Brentford midway through the week.
Ten Hag described the injury as a private matter at the time and gave few more details on Friday.
“Luke Shaw will not be available tomorrow and we will have to see how we progress over the next week,” he added.
United returned to winning ways in the Premier League after going three games without a win, culminating in a 2-0 defeat at Newcastle last weekend.
The Dutchman was critical of his side’s passion and attitude in their 2-0 defeat to Newcastle
Ten Hag criticized his players’ passion and attitude at Tyneside and wants them to maintain a higher level after putting in a better performance against Brentford.
“You have to do it every game, it has to be the standard,” he said. “You play for Man United, no ifs or buts, that’s your responsibility. A player has to perform when you play for Man United. You must be accountable.
‘It’s all about requirements, so we always have to meet the standards. It’s about a culture, that you can only be a player for Man United if you live up to those standards and always do. It’s not once.
“From a player playing for the top, fighting for trophies, fighting to win the Premier League, you always have to do it consistently. It’s our job to bring that mentality.’
