The service was organized by fan group Munich58 and the Manchester Munich Memorial Foundation (MMMF) charity to commemorate the Munich air disaster.

In February 1958, a charter plane crashed after refueling in Munich. The accident claimed the lives of 23 people, including eight United players and three referees.

The memorial service, which took place under the Munich memorial plaque at Old Trafford, began at 2:00 p.m. and lasted for approximately two hours.

The service consisted of poems and songs, with Erik ten Hag and various members of his United coaching staff leading the tributes.

The club also presented its new commemorative showcase. The tribute was funded by donations from fans, as well as Red Docs Munich and FC Bayern Munich.
