Eric Trump on Tuesday night accused Manhattan’s district attorney of endangering lives with his decision to indict his father, claiming 38,000 New York police officers were “distracted from their jobs” in an attempt to end the 2024 campaign. thwart.
The 39-year-old said Donald Trump was “an absolute rock” and described him as resolute in the days since Thursday’s indictment.
On Tuesday afternoon, the former president presented himself to Manhattan Criminal Court for arrest and appeared before a judge to face charges.
The unprecedented arrest process of a former president was uneventful, leading New York authorities to breathe a sigh of relief – but Eric Trump said the security measures were excessive.

“We got into the motorcade,” said Eric, who flew to LaGuardia Airport with his father in his private jet.
Every intersection was closed. The FDR was closed. There was an army around Trump Tower. There was an army around the courthouse. There were barricades all over New York.’
He told Fox News host Sean Hannity that Manhattan district attorney Alvin Bragg’s decision to charge his father put New Yorkers at risk.
“Literally Alvin Bragg caused 38,000 NYPD officers to be distracted from their job, over $200 million they estimate that trip was for – what for? For a payment of $130,000? It’s insane,” Eric said.
“How many people in New York died because the whole NYPD didn’t do their job because they had to deal with Alvin Bragg’s political charade?”
Eric echoed his father and his father’s legal team by calling the 34-point indictment a politically motivated farce.
They’re doing this to prosecute a man who wins the Republican nomination by 35 points. It’s not even close,” Eric said.
“They want to take him out of the race.”
He said it started “when they subpoenaed 11 million documents from the Trump Organization.”
“They couldn’t find anything at all.”
In January, the Trump Organization was fined $1.6 million following the investigation.
The company was penalized for a scheme in which the former president’s top executives evaded personal income taxes on lavish job benefits.
A fine was the only punishment a judge could impose on the Trump Organization following its conviction in December for 17 tax crimes, including conspiracy and falsifying business records. The amount was the maximum allowed by law.

Eric told Hannity on Tuesday that critics of his father have “armed the system.”
“They want a tsunami of legal challenges weighing on the president,” he said.
“They think he’s giving up.
My father will never give up.
“He’s going to fight and I promise you, mark my words. I promise you, he’s going to win in 2024.
“Americans see through this charade.”
Donald Trump is under investigation by a special prosecutor, Jack Smith, for attempting to overturn the 2020 election, but Eric insisted it was in fact Trump’s opponents who were trying to rig the vote.
They arm the system. They’re arming any institution they can get their claws into,’ Eric said.
“They will win by any method they can use.
“It’s not about fair elections.
It’s not about winning at the ballot box.
It uses every method to gain an unfair advantage over your opponents. They put our father and our family through hell.”
Eric said his father – who widely dislikes Manhattan – was greeted with enthusiasm Tuesday night when he returned to his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.

Donald Trump officially moved to Florida in November 2019, partly because of the tax implications, but also because of the distance with which he is greeted in his hometown.
“When we got off that plane and you saw tens of thousands of people lined the street from Palm Beach Airport to Mar-a-Lago waving Trump 2024 flags,” said Eric.
“Sean, the love is incredible. No one has ever seen such love.
“This comes from the day the 45th president of the United States was impeached and the streets are filled with people literally chanting God Bless America.”
