Eric ‘Badlands’ Booker smashes the world record for a lemonade chug at Nathan’s 4th of July Hot Dog Eating contest
A man from Queens, New York, set a new world record by drinking an entire liter of lemonade in such a short time during the annual Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest on Fourth of July.
Eric ‘Badlands’ Booker managed to drink an entire can of sour lemon juice in just 21 seconds, easily winning the competition.
This year he won the title in this event for the fourth time in a row.
He celebrated his victory with a loud cheer into the microphone.
Booker, 55, is best known for his online presence on YouTube as “BadlandsChugs,” a channel that features videos of him chugging soda.

It took him a second to feel the acidity on his tongue before he screamed into the microphone
In 2021 he won the first Lemonade Challenge and has been able to defend his title every year since then.
In 2023, Booker set a world record by drinking a liter of lemonade in just 23.08 seconds.
His victory this year came just minutes before Patrick Bertoletti won the hot dog eating contest, where he wolfed down 58 hot dogs in just 10 minutes.
Geoffrey Epster, another competitor, finished second with 53, while Bertoletti’s rival James Webb scored 52.
Booker, who drinks soda on YouTube, was awarded a belt for his victory, like wrestlers get after a fight
Bertoletti participated for the ninth time.
These numbers pale in comparison to the record 76 hot dogs and buns Chestnut ate in 2021.
In the women’s event, reigning champion Miki Sudo ate 51 hot dogs and buns to break the record in that competition. Mayoi Ebihara was second with 37.
