Eric and Barron Trump snap brotherly selfie as Kai dazzles in sparkling cut-out gown at inauguration ball
It was a family affair at Donald Trump’s 2025 inauguration on Monday, as the 47th president’s children and grandchildren shared updates on social media during the event.
In a post shared on Instagram, Donald’s sons Eric Trump and Barron Trump posed for a selfie at the US Capitol – where the inauguration ceremony was moved due to frigid temperatures outside.
Eric, 41, appeared to take the photo with the front camera of his phone, while the 6-foot-2 Barron, 18, towered behind his older brother.
The second-eldest Trump brother then posted the selfie to his 2.8 million Instagram followers.
Meanwhile, the president’s 17-year-old granddaughter, Kai Trump, took to Instagram to share her dazzling look for the inaugural ball on Monday night.
In photos and videos posted to her account, Trump’s eldest grandchild dazzled in an off-white beaded dress with a corset bodice and a thigh-high slit designed by Sherri Hill.
“Inaugural ball dance ready @sherrihill,” she captioned a video showing off the dress.
Earlier in the day, the teen vlogger gave her YouTube subscribers an exciting behind-the-scenes look at the events leading up to Trump’s inauguration.

In the vlog, Kai revealed that she got some Sherri Hill dresses for the busy weekend.
“This is Sherri Hill,” she said as she showed off the dresses, which came in red, navy blue and gold.
“She sent me some dresses and they are amazing. All my ball gowns are from Sherri Hill.”
Kai explained that although she had never worn Sherri Hill before, she felt like the dresses “suited her really well.”
“She is a very good designer,” she added. ‘I’ve heard of her before. Thank you so much for sending this Sherri, I appreciate it. They look so great.’
While attending a Trump rally at the Capital One Arena and his candlelight dinner at the Building Museum on Sunday, Kai posed for photos with her father, Donald Trump Jr., as well as the rest of her family.
However, she didn’t stay for dinner as she later revealed she ordered a steak to her hotel room instead.
“I’m so hungry, I haven’t been able to eat,” she exclaimed to her friend, who added that she accidentally sent her meal back to the kitchen.

Another wrote: ‘You must be so proud and if your close friends share the experience it will be a memory you will tell your children one day.’
A third added: ‘You looked perfect today. I’m glad you saw everyone come through the doorway. Congratulations on being the granddaughter of our greatest president.”
“I love that she’s so down to earth, not rude and chic and a show-off lover, and just not afraid to be herself,” someone else said.
Kai – born on May 12, 2007 – is Don Jr.’s eldest child. and his ex-wife Vanessa Trump, who divorced in 2018.
She is also the eldest of Trump’s ten grandchildren.
Following Trump’s inauguration ceremony, the 47th president promised a “new golden age of America” Monday during a signing ceremony at the Capital One Arena in downtown Washington.

“You are now witnessing the dawn of America’s golden age,” he declared to loud applause. “We won’t tolerate that nonsense anymore.”
In the first hours of his second term, Trump immediately made good on his promise by signing an executive order to undo 78 of Biden’s presidential actions.
He announced a regulatory freeze, which will prevent bureaucrats from issuing rules until the Trump administration has full control of the government, and a freeze on all federal hiring except for military and a few other key areas.
Trump ordered a requirement that federal employees return to full-time in-person work, a directive for every department and agency to address the cost of living, and announced the withdrawal from the Paris climate treaty.
He also signed a government order that restored freedom of expression and prevented censorship of freedom of expression, and an order that ended the “weaponization of the government against the political opponents of the previous government.”
