Eric Adams tells protesters and Marjorie Taylor Greene to “behave” during Trump’s visit

New York City Mayor Eric Adams today issued a warning to “agitators,” including Marjorie Taylor Greene, ahead of their planned visit to the city for Donald Trump’s court appearance, saying they would use their “best behavior ‘ had to exhibit and ‘control themselves’ while in village.

Greene is one of the Trump fans planning to protest the impeachment and charges against Trump tomorrow. The former president is currently en route from Mar-a-Lago to New York.

He will spend the night in Trump Tower on Monday before appearing in court on charges of 2016 payments to porn star Stormy Daniels.

A massive police effort is underway in New York to contain the chaos.

Speaking at a press conference today, Adams issued a specific warning to anyone who might want to cause trouble.

“While there may be rioters who are thinking about coming to our city tomorrow, our message is clear and simple: Control yourself.

New York City is our home, not a playground for your misplaced anger.

“While we have no specific threats, people like Marjorie Taylor Greene, who is known for spreading misinformation and hate speech, have stated that she is coming to town.

“While you’re in town, be on your best behavior. We do not allow violence or vandalism of any kind. If someone is caught participating in violence, they will be arrested and held accountable, whoever you are.”

There will be “continuous” road closures as Trump moves through the city, with one road near Trump Tower remaining closed all day to allow him to come and go.

He urged New Yorkers to go about their day as usual, but not to drive and use the subway when possible.

NYPD Commissioner Keechant Sewell said, “Violence and destruction are not part of legitimate, lawful speech.

“They will never be tolerated in our city. The NYPD will be there today, tomorrow, and every day to make sure they’re safe.”

Greene is organizing what she calls a peaceful protest at Collect Pond Park, near the downtown courthouse where Trump will make his first appearance.

Sources leading the planning say closures are likely on Center Street, Canal Street, Baxter Street and Worth Street, near the courthouse.

While no set time has been set, Trump is expected to travel to the courthouse early Tuesday.

He will have a mugshot taken and his fingerprints taken before going before a judge.

The hearing will probably be short. There he learns of the allegations, which have been sealed since last week.

After that, Trump is expected to fly back to Palm Beach. He is expected to make a statement at 8:15 p.m.

Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg has yet to comment on the case.

With such ferocious support on both sides, the NYPD is preparing for clashes at the courthouse and surrounding protests.

The charges are the first against a former US president. They relate to a 2016 payment of $130,000 from Trump’s lawyer Michael Cohen to Stormy Daniels, an adult actress who says she had an affair with Trump in 2005.

He denies it, saying Bragg is motivated by political bias.

Taylor Greene has already sparked controversy this week by labeling the Democratic party as full of pedophiles.

During an interview with Leslie Stahl for 60 Minutes, she said, “They support child care. Support Democrats – even Joe Biden, the president himself, supports children being sexualized and undergoing transgender surgeries.

‘Sexualizing children, that’s what pedophiles do to children.’
