Epstein accuser reveals what it was like to stay at pedophile’s plush ‘holding facility’ on UES

A woman who said she was one of many victims of the late pedophile Jeffrey Epstein speaks of the conditions in which she was forced to live in his Upper East Side apartment, which she likened to a “detention facility.”

Teresa Helm, 42, said she spent a night in the East 66th Street apartment during her time being abused by the wealthy pedophile in 2002 at age 22, whose lawsuit revealed he would be detaining girls as young as 13.

Helm said she was greeted with a gift basket of cookies and fresh fruit, which made her feel “special.”

She said, “I remember the apartment well. It was relatively small and there was Dannon yogurt in the fridge and a basket of fruit and cookies on the counter.’

Helm noted that she assumed she would say in a hotel, rather than what was written in the famous Epstein black book under “apartments for models.”

The apartment is largely owned by Epstein’s brother Mark through his company, Ossa Properties.

She added: “I remember feeling very special – I thought there was a beautiful gift basket with fruit and cookies. It was part of the manipulation – ‘here we take care of you, we take care of you’. That’s all part of the care process.’

helmet told the mirror that ‘they took girls there to stay while they were trafficking. They had to put the girls somewhere.’

She said she met both Epstein and his “right-hand man” Ghislaine Maxwell before going to the apartment.

The victim flew across the country to New York City to meet Maxwell about a job as a “private massage therapist.”

She claimed she was asked to give Maxwell a massage, and was told by the socialite that when she met Epstein, “Make sure you give Jeffrey what he wants, because Jeffrey always gets what he wants. ‘

Helm says she then went to Epstein’s house, which she described as a castle, where she was lured into his office and sexually assaulted.

She recalls, “I was let in and Jeffrey told him to follow him to his office. We walked into that room and then he asked me for a foot massage and put his foot on my leg. I started giving him a foot massage and he started pushing his foot closer and closer to me to the point where his foot was literally pressing against my body.”

Epstein then grabbed Helm from behind as she tried to walk away, grabbed her chin and said, “I know I can always trust a woman who shows her gums when she smiles.”

She then claims she froze and was attacked by Epstein in the hallway, adding, “Don’t do anything I wouldn’t.”

Helm left overnight and flew home the next day, but said she was on her way to the airport with another ‘young girl’ who she suspects was also a victim.

She was part of a group of Epstein victims who accepted a portion of a compensation fund in exchange for dismissing her lawsuit against his estate.

Maxwell, now 60, was found guilty of recruiting and trafficking underage girls for the disgraced financier between 1994 and 1997.

She has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after telling the court that meeting Jeffrey Epstein was the “greatest regret of my life” and apologizing to her victims “for the pain you experienced.”

During Maxwell’s trial, her victims described how they would go to the bathroom after entering the house and participate in sexualized massages with Epstein on a green fold-out massage table.

After the sentencing, Maxwell’s attorney Bobbi Sternheim said outside the courthouse: “Our client Ghislaine Maxwell has been vilified, pilloried and left little room for her to be treated fairly. Because even before she stumbled into this courthouse, she was tried and convicted in the court of public opinion.

Four women testified against Maxwell during her week-long trial: a victim known as “Jane,” Annie Farmer, Kate and another woman named Carolyn.

Over three weeks, the jury heard Maxwell “serve” underage girls for Epstein and revel in her role as the “Lady of the House” at his Palm Beach, Florida mansion.

Between 1994 and 2004, Maxwell was Epstein’s “right-hand man,” paying $200 for sexualized massages or even participating in the abuse.

The victims, some as young as 14, were paid a similar amount if they brought friends to Epstein, the jury was told.

The true number of Epstein victims may never be known, but the fund set up to pay them compensation has paid out $121 million to 150 women around the world.

Most of the victim statements were released before sentencing, and they were scorching in their conviction of Maxwell.

Epstein was found in cardiac arrest after hanging himself shortly before 7 a.m. on August 10, 2019 at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in lower Manhattan.
