Enzo Fernandez’s ex-fiance Valentina Cervantes has opened up about her split from the Chelsea star.
It comes after Fernandez, 23, split from his high school sweetheart Cervantes to live on his own – despite having a daughter and son together.
Cervantes followed Fernandez to Benfica when he joined the club in 2022, then moved to London when he signed for Chelsea last January in a deal worth £107m.
But just over 18 months later, the couple decided to go their separate ways.
The Chelsea star has been on strong form since splitting with Cervantes, who has since moved back in with family before opening up.
In a recent interview with Paparazzishe said, “Everything was fine and one day he suddenly told me he didn’t want that [with me] more. There are things I still need to process, but that’s it, I’ve accepted it.

“When we met, I was working at an empanada restaurant and studying law. He was in River Plate and then played in the reserve team. When we moved in together, I changed jobs to a call center near the Obelisk.
“At that time I earned more than his representative gave him, we spent my entire salary, I had nothing left to save. And after 9 months I became pregnant with Olivia, I was 19 years old.’
When asked if she was still in love with the Chelsea star, she replied: ‘I think the love is still there because it’s very difficult to leave it so quickly.
‘I don’t depend on a man or anyone else to be happy. I will always be happy with the company of my children.’
Since their split, Fernandez has since enjoyed a dramatic upturn in form for the west London side and has worked his way back into the starting line-up, scoring three goals and eight assists in his 20 appearances for the Blues.
Cervantes also revealed in the same interview that she had reunited Fernandez with their two children – Olivia and Benjamin – for the first time since their divorce.
“It only lasted a few days so luckily they were able to be with their dad and I was with them too so it was great,” she explained Minuto Uno.
Cervantes initially broke her silence on the issue a month later, when she appeared on the Argentine television program LAM and said her background as a child of divorced parents had shaped her adult perspective.
“Everyone takes it and goes through different processes. I tried to go for the healthier side,” Cervantes told reporter Alejandro Castelo. ‘I love Enzo, I would never disrespect him.
“He is someone who has accompanied me for many years and I have accompanied him too, and I will continue to accompany him.”

Cervantes added that she felt “comfortable” with her current relationship status as a single and explained that the breakup had nevertheless been “a surprise.”
“There could have been fatigue on his part, but there wasn’t on my part,” she added.
“What he’s been doing since the day we broke up is his life. I’m not going to get involved and I’m going to respect the woman he chooses, as long as my children are okay.
“Just as I respect him, I also respect the woman he wants by his side.”
Cervantes announced the end of their relationship in October, writing on Instagram: ‘With Enzo we say our distance from each other today. But we will always be family and support each other through everything. Because there are two children in the middle who need a lot of our love for them.
‘I know the person and the excellent father Enzo, and the heart he has. And that’s enough for me. They don’t want to create wars that don’t exist.’
Rumors suggest that Fernandez is now dating Argentinian rapper-singer Nicki Nicole
Since their split, rumors have started to circulate suggesting that Fernandez is now dating Argentinian rapper-singer Nicki Nicole.
Neither Nicole nor Fernandez have commented on the supposedly budding romance yet, but according to La NacionThe pair are said to have met at the Moby Dick nightclub in Buenos Aires at the end of October.
Fernandez is believed to have split from Cervantes before the start of his relationship with Nicole, but the pair were filmed chatting in the nightclub on TikTok. Shortly after the video went viral, Nicole shared a comment saying she attended the party with “the person (she is) currently dating.”
According to the outlet, Nicole – who has a whopping 22.6 million Instagram followers – was previously in a relationship with Formula 1 prospect Franco Colapinto.
