Entire mall in Georgia is closed after ‘shots are fired inside’

The Augusta Mall in Georgia has been closed after gunshots were fired inside.

According to the Richmond County Dispatch, police were called after the incident on Sunday at 1:43 p.m. It is unclear whether there were any injuries.

The sheriff’s office said: ‘[The] the investigation is in its early stages and no additional information is available at this time.”

Dozens of police and ambulance vehicles flew into the shopping center.

Employees and shoppers took cover behind counters and in bathrooms, according to people who spoke to the Augusta Chronicle inside.
