English rock legends confirm surprise Glastonbury performance TONIGHT as excited fans rejoice over seeing the BRIT Award winners on stage
Kasabian have confirmed that they will be one of the surprise bands performing at Glastonbury Festival, much to the delight of their fans.
The band shared a photo of an A sign on a piece of grass on their Instagram page on Saturday with the text ‘Woodsies newsflash it’s happening! 6:00 PM Saturday’.
The band, formed in Leicester in 1997, wrote in the caption of the post: ‘It’s Happening! See you at Woodsies @glastofest 6pm.’
Kasabian – consisting of Sergio Pizzorno, Chris Edwards, Ian Matthews and Tim Carter – debuted at Glastonbury in 2005 and headlined the festival in 2014. They are known for the songs Fire and Club Foot.
Fans couldn’t help but notice the official announcement, writing: ‘The first of many events’;

The sun announced prior to Saturday that one of the many surprise acts will be the British rock band Kasabian.
Ten years after Serge Pizzorno and the group last took the stage at Worthy Farm, insiders have confirmed they have been booked to play.
A source told the publication: ‘Glastonbury is always a big deal but this year Kasabian really can’t wait, especially as it’s been ten years since they were last there.
‘They loved the idea of being a secret act and jumped at the idea when Glasto boss Emily Eavis suggested it.
The set will last one hour.
In the past, Glastonbury has seen surprise performances by acts including The Killers, Radiohead and the Foo Fighters.
A second surprise artist for this year’s Glastonbury turned out to be folk singer-songwriter Beans On Toast.
Glastonbury started on Wednesday and ends on Sunday.
This year’s festival headliners include Coldplay on Saturday night, SZA on Sunday night and Dua Lipa performing on Friday night.
Shania Twain, 58, will play late Sunday afternoon and shared how she is preparing.
