As many as 40,000 England fans are expected in Düsseldorf for the European Championship quarter-final against Switzerland, despite only 6,700 tickets having been officially allocated.
Post Sport has understood that tens of thousands of people are set to descend on the German party city for Saturday’s match, with no repeat of the drink restrictions previously imposed for Three Lions matches.
There is a desperate scramble for tickets for what will be a sold-out match at the 47,000-capacity Düsseldorf Arena.
On resale site Viagogo, the cheapest seats were listed for £457 on Wednesday night, while a front row seat, almost halfway up, cost almost £3,000.
Düsseldorf is known as ‘the longest bar in the world’ thanks to the more than 300 pubs in the old town.

And a large number of England supporters will flood the narrow streets despite a disappointing tournament from Gareth Southgate so far.
Jude Bellingham and Co haven’t played in the city yet, but fans have been flocking there ahead of matches in the surrounding areas for its vibrant nightlife. Many downtown hotels are already fully booked.
Unlike England’s visits to nearby Gelsenkirchen, there are no special measures in place for purchasing drinks in the stadium.
At the opening match against Serbia, fans were served beer with an alcohol content of 2.8 percent.
In the second leg, before the round of 16 against Slovakia, the drink strength was back to normal, but fans were only allowed to buy two drinks at a time and were not allowed to take them back to their seats.
No such restrictions are expected during Saturday’s match, which kicks off at 6pm.
