Anthony Gordon was seen with a nasty cut on his chin during England’s training session on Thursday, after the Newcastle forward fell off his bike at the England training base on Wednesday.

The Newcastle midfielder also had several cuts on his hands but appeared to be in good spirits as he trained with the rest of the squad on Thursday.

During their recovery period, the team cycled around their training base at the Spa & Golf Resort Weimarer Land in Blankenhain, Germany, where Gordon had fallen.

Today the Three Lions were able to prepare for their upcoming last 16 match against Slovakia on Thursday at the Spa & Golf Resort Weimarer Land in Blankenhain, Germany.

On a gloomy afternoon, Declan Rice and Kieran Trippier worked on their own individual training programs while Phil Foden was away from training with the squad.

The Manchester City star had traveled home to Britain on Wednesday after it was revealed he had an ‘urgent family matter’.

It is understood the England striker returned for the birth of his third child, but a source close to Foden revealed to Mail Sport that he is expected to be back for England’s match against Slovakia on Sunday.

Gareth Southgate’s side were seen going through several training exercises and appeared focused on the session as they prepared to face Slovakia after finishing top of Group C.

The Three Lions boss will no doubt be pleased with the return of Shaw, who moved comfortably alongside his teammates during the session.

Luke Shaw, 28, has not played in England’s first three games at Euro 2024, but the Manchester United left-back appears to have overcome a troublesome hamstring injury and gave an update at a press conference on Wednesday on when he is likely to return.

When asked if he was about to make a comeback, Shaw said: “Next game.”

Jude Bellingham was also photographed in training after it was revealed Gareth Southgate would hold private talks with the Real Madrid midfielder, who had cut a frustrated figure following England’s disappointing 0-0 draw with Slovenia on Tuesday.

A lip reader had revealed that Bellingham had shouted at one of his England team-mates to ‘f***ing pass’ during their final group stage match.

“I will have those messages with him rather than sticking them all over the papers,” Southgate said this week when asked about Bellingham.
