- England winger Henry Arundell marked his Top 14 debut with a hat-trick of tries
- Arundell moved to Racing 92 following the demise of his boyhood club London Irish
- He was a bit of a feature in the World Cup despite scoring five tries against Chile
England wonderkid Henry Arundell lit up the French Top 14 with a hat-trick on his Racing 92 debut against Toulon on the Cote d’Azur on Sunday evening.
Arundell was a bit part of England at the World Cup. He scored five tries against minnows Chile but except a marginalized presence in national coach Steve Borthwick’s plans.
The 21-year-old moved to French side Racing following the demise of his boyhood club London Irish and wasted no time in impressing for the Parisian side.
After returning from the World Cup, Arundell’s Racing bow came in a 31-26 defeat to Toulon at the Stade Felix Mayol.
Despite his team’s loss, Arundell – who has made a habit of scoring outrageous individual tries in his short career so far – was at his best, this time wearing the blue and white stripes of Racing.

Arundell’s first was a brilliant performance and he finished with a treble, responsible for three of his team’s four scores.
Toulon was also where Arundell scored a brilliant performance for Irish in 2022.
