The England men’s team have already done their country proud by reaching the final of Euro 2024, but a victory over Spain could greatly increase their future earning potential.
The Three Lions reached the pinnacle of the tournament after Ollie Watkins secured a spectacular 2-1 victory over the Netherlands to secure a place in the final in Berlin.
This came after Gareth Southgate’s side had put in a much improved performance after struggling to get results in the knockout stages against Slovakia and Switzerland.
With that, the Three Lions have secured a place in the finals in succession for the first time in the history of the men’s team. Sarina Wiegman’s women’s team won the 2022 European Championship and then reached the final of the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
While all 26 of Southgate’s stars are on the cusp of realising a childhood dream, victory in Berlin could see their earning potential skyrocket to astronomical proportions.

Winning the final could greatly increase the future earning potential of some players
Jude Bellingham could see his earnings increase by £400million over the course of his career
According to the sunIf England win, the players could earn a total of £1 billion from commercial and sponsorship deals, so the predicted increase in their marketability is huge.
“If England win the Euros they will be close to being a billion-pound team in the future,” branding expert Marcel Knobil told the Sun.
Jude Bellingham, who has become one of the world’s best-selling players over the past 12 months, could boost his own brand awareness by around £400m. His brand awareness is expected to surpass even that of David Beckham.
“Jude has all the ingredients to surpass David Beckham’s £372m fee by the end of his career,” Knobil added.
‘He could earn £50m a year from his Real Madrid salary plus sponsorships and endorsements, which adds up to hundreds of millions.
‘Jude will need the same business acumen and long playing career as Beckham.
“But he’s already at the top of the world stage at such a young age and is on a trajectory similar to Ronaldo’s. He’s got everything.”
Experts have also predicted that players such as Harry Kane, Phil Foden, Kobbie Mainoo, Cole Palmer and arguably England’s star of the tournament so far Bukayo Saka could all earn up to £100m.
Cole Palmer is one of five players who could increase their revenues by around £100m, according to brand experts
Bukayo Saka (centre, no. 7) has undoubtedly been England’s star of the tournament so far with a number of consistently impressive performances
The idea is that these players could earn an extra £50,000 a week, meaning the likes of Saka, Mainoo, Foden and Palmer could earn an extra £25 million over the next decade of their fledgling careers.
Southgate is reported to have earned around £2million for guiding the Three Lions to the final.
The Sun reported earlier this week that he would win a total of around £4 million if his team won the trophy. If that claim turns out to be true, he is apparently halfway there already.
