England stars are met by ecstatic staff with with giant party poppers and flags

The England players and staff were greeted by jubilant hotel staff and supporters as they returned to their Al Wakrah base following the win over Senegal.
Gareth Southgate’s side ensured they reached another quarter-final, sweeping aside sub-par African champions Aliou Cisse, setting up a delicious clash with France for a place in the quarter-finals.
Returning to the hotel after another very successful night, the England players entered the hotel to be greeted with joyful adulation from members of staff and a few others in a heartfelt celebration.
The England players returned to their base to be greeted by jubilant scenes involving the locals.
In scenes similar to those seen at Holland’s hotel after their win over the USA on Saturday night, Southgate players entered the lobby with flags waving and confetti falling from above.
It was a welcome respite from earlier sad news that popular squad member Raheem Sterling had been forced to return home after his partner and children were the subject of an armed robbery at their Surrey home.
When the England players arrived at the hotel, the workers danced, some with vuvuzela-shaped trumpets, while others had the flag of Saint George on their shoulders.
Players were showered with confetti and giant firecrackers as they basked in the adulation.
In the footage, circulating across England’s social media channels, Jack Grealish can be seen particularly enjoying the attention given to the team as he dances upon arrival.
The players themselves will have their own images of the joyous scenes, and many will film their teammates. Mason Mount seemed to find Grealish’s entry particularly amusing.
Unlike Grealish, Marcus Rashford didn’t seem to want to participate, striding through the crowd with his hood up, though he had a big smile etched on his face. Substitute goalkeeper Nick Pope was jumping up and down next to him.
Jack Grealish especially rejoiced at the reception, dancing to the delight of those who greeted him and his teammates.
Phil Foden, who after a difficult start to the tournament appears to have recovered and looks likely to make his third straight start against France on Saturday, dropped by to film the scenes.
While the ever-enthusiastic Declan Rice was jumping up and down like Pope in a group with Mason Mount, Luke Shaw, Grealish and several of those who had stayed up to greet the players.
It must have been very nice for the staff members to have been greeted with the same enthusiasm by the players themselves.
Marcus Rashford, perhaps one of the more timid members of the team, kept his hood up.
Meanwhile, Kyle Walker followed the lead of his Manchester City teammate Grealish by dancing to a solo jig. The right-back, who returned from injury against Wales and is now up for the unenviable task of trying to keep Kylian Mbappe quiet, waved a small flag as the jubilant scenes continued around him.
The England footage ended up showing supporters singing England, no doubt expecting a similar party on Saturday night.
Unlike Holland’s video, there was little footage of Southgate doing a jig like Louis van Gaal, with the manager briefly smiling in the background.
Kyle Walker mirrored his club teammate, Grealish, dancing alongside the staff and fans.
The charismatic Dutchman stole the show as his team returned to their base following their 3-1 win over the USA. Van Gaal danced and filmed those greeting his Dutch team, causing much hilarity on social media .
Two weeks after being greeted by home fans outside their hotel, England now enter the final stage of the tournament dreaming of a place in the quarter-finals in back-to-back editions.
After the win over Senegal, Southgate praised his team’s ruthlessness, with England maintaining their impressive scoring run.
“I think the cruelty of our execution (was my favorite part),” Southgate told ITV.
“But the way the team worked off the ball and off the ball. I think in the end we were a bit sticky with the ball in the first 25-30 minutes.
‘Senegal had a lot of energy, they pressed well, their form was good. And really our best chances came from winning the ball over to them.’
England defeated Senegal 3-0 to set up a quarter-final clash with France on Saturday night.
In scenes similar to those seen two weeks ago when England arrived in the country, fans chanted for England and the players.
