Football fever is almost here with Euro 2024 kicking off later this week on Friday, with Steve Clarke’s Tartan Army set to kick off the tournament against hosts Germany on Friday 14 June.
Friday not only marks the start of Euro 2024, but it also kicks off a summer of pints, football and beer gardens.
Nothing screams European Championship summer like enjoying a cold pint in one of Britain’s many beer gardens.
From Friday, pubs are sure to see an influx of customers as football fans flock to their nearest pubs to hopefully witness England ‘bring football home’.

Football fans can grab a free drink this Friday before Scotland versus Germany kicks off in the 2024 European Championship
England fans can pick up a free drink at participating Greene King pubs between 6pm and 7pm
On the occasion of the opening match against Scotland and Germany, Green King offers football fans the opportunity to enjoy a free drink from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM that day.
All you have to do to claim your free drink is simply go to participating Greene King pubs and say the secret phrase.
Simply say the words ‘For Pub and Country’ at selected bars and earn your free drink.
There are 800 pubs from across Great Britain are taking partso the chances of your local restaurant handing one out are quite high, as the pub company and brewer have branches in England, Scotland and Wales.
For those of you who don’t fancy a pint, there are other free drinks available. Customers can choose from a variety of drink options, including pints of Greene King’s Level Head and Flint Eye, as well as ciders, spirits and soft drinks.
