A fight broke out tonight between England and Germany fans after the home nation were knocked out of the 2024 European Championship.

A witness said: ‘The England fans were teasing the Germans about their loss to Spain and then they started singing songs like: ‘Have you ever seen the Germans win a war?’
‘There were about 20 English men who got into a confrontation with a group of Germans and then a couple got involved in a brawl.’
Glasses were used as projectiles and beer was thrown at the Germans, while riot police denied people access to the area around a bar called Steak-Haus.
