End of an era! PR queen Roxy Jacenko leaves Sydney for good and flies to Singapore to start her new life with husband Oliver and two children

She has been Sydney’s PR queen and headliner of ‘it girl’ for over two decades.

And Roxy Jacenko closed that chapter of her life on Friday and headed to Singapore to start her new life with husband Oliver and their two children, Pixie, 12, and Hunter, nine.

The 43-year-old posted a photo of herself on the plane, sitting in first class, with the caption, “end of an era.”

Roxy and her clan spent their last few nights at the luxurious Crown hotel in Sydney’s CBD.

Her children said goodbye to their school friends and nanny Martinica Canha, while their mother packed the rest of the package.

The founder of Sweaty Betty revealed in June that she would be leaving Sydney to live with her husband in Singapore.

She admitted that her life in the port city makes a big difference to her upcoming new life abroad.

“No one knows me there, no one has a preconceived notion of who or what I am, no one has expectations, and best of all, no one cares!” she told the Sydney Morning Herald.

‘In Singapore it was a matter of ‘Roxy who?’ I actually found it very refreshing and a bit liberating.’

Roxy also said she was willing to divorce when her husband Oliver moved to Singapore for work.

Her marriage was previously under scrutiny after it was revealed that she sold her family home in Sydney’s Vaucluse and shut down some of her businesses after Oliver moved to the Southeast Asian country for a job.

Roxy later confirmed that she and Oliver were not breaking up and decided to move out instead.

Speaking to The Kyle And Jackie O Show, she explained that she had argued with her 37-year-old husband over his decision to leave, noting that for years he had split his time between Sydney and Tasmania for his previous job.

‘I actually said to Ollie: ‘look, you go to Singapore and I stay here’. And he’s like, “well, I don’t know if that will work”. And I was like, ‘well, it’s worked for the last five years,'” she said.

Roxy remembered Oliver telling her that his work and personal finances required him to live in Singapore.

Hunter also spent time with his school friends

“I was like, ‘Okay, then what’s my option?’ He says, “oh, we have to get a divorce.”‘

Surprisingly, Roxy said she was perfectly happy with her marriage ending then and there.

‘I’m good at that. So just give me the paperwork, I’ll sign the paperwork and we can get a divorce. You do your job there and I stay here. And we will visit,’ she said.

However, Roxy ultimately decided not to end the marriage and agreed to move the whole family to Singapore for the sake of Pixie and Hunter.

‘It’s time. They need a dad around, and because he’s never here…he comes (back home to Sydney) for about two days at a time,” she explained at the time.

She also blamed her long-distance relationship with Oliver as the reason why she constantly spoils her children with lavish gifts, claiming that she had trouble telling her children “no” when he was not around.

Roxy later joked that Oliver “probably has a woman in every port,” adding, “Well, whatever, it’s 2023.”

Meanwhile, Roxy was seen packing up her prized possessions, including her infamous Hermes bag collection, on Wednesday in the run-up to the big move.

Roxy, who has a dizzying collection of designer bags worth $1 million, viewed burnt orange Hermès boxes on Instagram.

She made sure to carefully label each and place mini-photos on the side of each box to describe each bag’s style.

The mom-of-two has also spent the past few weeks wrapping up her $16 million Vaucluse mansion.

Roxy founded her PR company Sweaty Betty when she was 24 and she quickly became a Sydney celebrity.

She launched her Ministry of Talent agency in 2012, and although she has discontinued her PR firm, she will continue to run and oversee her talent agency from Singapore.

Making headlines as often as her high-profile clients, Roxy has been embroiled in a variety of scandals over the years, from celebrity feuds to the famous run-in with a plant thief, surviving a shock cancer diagnosis and eventually exposing a viral ‘poo jogger’.

In December 2020, she addressed speculation that her personal and professional relationship had “abruptly” ended with billionaire heiress Francesca Packer.

She was also involved in a feud with Candice Warner, with an infamous boxing match on an episode of SAS Australia being what prompted her to feud with cricketer David Warner’s wife.

In 2018, Roxy was also in the headlines for rekindling a feud with Olympic swimmer Stephanie Rice that began during a 2013 season of Celebrity Apprentice Australia.

In early 2019, Jacenko was the subject of a vicious graffiti attack that saw the words “Roxy Jacenko is ac***” spray-painted on her office and neighborhood.

Anthony Hess, 40, and Amthony Lister, 41, reportedly sprayed obscene words outside the publicity queen’s office in Paddington, central Sydney, and at home in North Bondi.

‘Roxy is a crook’ was found on a traffic barrier on Syd Enfield Drive in Woollahra and ‘Roxy is a dog’ on a wall on Ramsgate Avenue in North Bondi.

Hess and Lister were formally charged in early 2021 with two counts of aggravated intentional marking of buildings without permission.

Meanwhile, in late 2019, Jacenko found herself at the center of a bizarre poop jogger scandal after a woman was caught on CCTV defecating outside her Paddington office.

The ‘Paddington pooper’ saga began when Roxy shared the shocking images on Instagram of the woman outside her Sweaty Betty PR office on Watson Street.

She twice uploaded videos of the woman running after a car, pulling down her pants and relieving herself.

Roxy was diagnosed with breast cancer in July 2016, just weeks after her husband Oliver Curtis was jailed for insider trading.

She underwent six weeks of radiation and underwent surgery to remove the cancer from her breast, which she documented for 60 minutes.

She eventually got the all-clear but still has MRIs, mammograms, and ultrasounds twice a year to monitor her health.

Her husband Oliver Curtis was sentenced to two years in prison in June 2016 for insider trading and was released on good behavior bail in June 2017 after serving 12 months.

After his release from Cooma Correctional Center, Oliver proposed to Roxy with a ring reportedly worth a whopping $500,000.
