Emmy Rossum and her husband Sam Esmail look blissfully in love while making a VERY rare red carpet appearance together at the premiere of his new film Leave The World Behind in New York City
Emmy Rossum and her husband Sam Esmail exchanged loving looks as they appeared together on the ultra-rare red carpet, eight months after welcoming their second child, a baby boy, on Monday evening.
While attending Netflix's premiere of Leave The World Behind, which Esmail directed and produced, the lovebirds looked every bit a loving couple as they arrived at the Paris Theater in New York City.
On a rare evening away from their son, whose name has not yet been publicly revealed, the Shameless star's two-year-old daughter Samantha, 37, oozed elegance in a white dress complete with a pearl necklace and matching blazer.
For the occasion, she wore her brunette locks in a low ponytail and wore a glamorous makeup look, consisting of a bold pink lipstick, a pretty rose gold eyeshadow and plenty of blush for a healthy glow.

The mother of two, who started her career as a children's performer at the Metropolitan Opera, completed her look with a pair of peep-toe heels and a round-cut diamond engagement ring.
Esmail, who is best known as the creator, writer and director of the award-winning series Mr. Robot, looked handsome in a gray suit, black shirt and shiny loafers.
His apocalyptic thriller, Leave The World Behind, an adaptation of Rumaan Alam's novel of the same name, stars Julia Roberts, Mahershala Ali with wife Amatus Sami-Karim, Ethan Hawke, Myha'la, Farrah Mackenzie, Charlie Evans and Kevin Bacon.
Roberts and Hawke play a married couple on vacation who encounter a father (Ali) and daughter who claim to be renting the same AirBnB and who may know more about the impending doom than they let on.
Rossum and Esmail met in 2012 on the set of his film Comet, which he wrote and directed.
“He sent a letter with the script,” Rossum told Vogue in 2017. 'It's not unusual for a director to do that, especially for someone for whom it's their first feature film, but the tone of the letter and the way he wrote it seemed immediately familiar. He was modest, unassuming and funny… I was immediately charmed by the tone and the person who wrote the letter.”
The duo made their relationship public in 2014, a year before he proposed, by writing a fake column in The New York Times based on their own love story.
“I realized he had gone through the whole process of writing this whole story. Apparently he called Daniel Jones at The New York Times and requested their paper template and got the people there to print a whole fake section on the bottom half,” she recalled. “He even placed an ad for the Ralph Lauren Ricky Bag.”

They eventually married on May 28, 2017 at the Central Synagogue in New York City.
Their reception took place at the Guggenheim Museum.
Speaking about her first impressions of Esmail, Rossum told Vogue: “I thought he was one of the most unique, kind, creative and brilliant people I had ever met. Just someone I always wanted to be around.”
As for how they handle their hectic schedules and dealing with long distance, Rossum raved that they always make sure to “text multiple times a day” and “send little videos back and forth on set.” '
Since they always try to share “as much of” their lives as possible, the actress said they “don't feel disconnected” when they're apart.
“We are both equally committed to our art, as we always have been, and to each other,” Rossum explained during a conversation with Extra.
