Emmerdale viewers slam ITV for ‘overhyped’ car crash as Moira crashes into Nicola, leaving daughter Angel unconscious and bleeding
Viewers in Emmerdale were disappointed by an ‘over-hyped’ car crash between Nicola King and Moira Barton during Thursday night’s episode.
The accident, which did not deploy any airbags, shocked some ITV fans as Nicola’s daughter Angel was in the back seat and not wearing her seatbelt.
The schoolgirl was knocked out after the impact and Moira backed her Land Rover away from the side of Nicola’s vehicle.
The two ladies jumped out to check on Angel who was unresponsive just as vet Thomas arrived, prompting fans to joke that he’s “a doctor now.”
One wrote: ‘The vet is now a doctor’, another added: ‘Oh good, Angelika – the vet has arrived!’

Oh no! The accident, which did not deploy any airbags, shocked some ITV fans as Nicola’s daughter Angel was in the back seat and not wearing her seatbelt.
A third said: ‘Tom King, the vet treating a young animal. Nicola’s daughter.’ while another joked: “Stand aside, I’m a vet”
A fifth wrote: ‘Tom is also a doctor now. Angel is a human, not a horse. Surprised it wasn’t Caleb who turned on the spot.”
They soon realized that Angel was “bleeding from her leg” and Moira suggested they move the schoolgirl.
Nicola was furious and screamed, “Don’t you dare move her, don’t you dare touch my baby!”
Tom took immediate action, making sure to keep her warm and stop the bleeding, and administer first aid while they waited for an ambulance.
When the paramedics arrived later in the episode, Angel had regained consciousness when Moira was breathed in and taken to the police station for questioning.
Thomas tried to calm Nicola down and sent her into the ambulance with Angel while he went to find her father Jimmy and met them at the hospital.
Nicola and Jimmy were later reunited in the hospital waiting room when Angel was given a full body scan as doctors were concerned about head injuries.

But just when their little girl seemed to be fine, the doctors reappeared and brought bad news to the family.
The doctor explained, “We are concerned about her fractured femur because there is damage to her arteries in her leg. We need to get her to the theater now.”
The final scenes showed Jimmy and Nicola waiting outside as their girl went into emergency surgery.
