An Emmerdale star has shockingly quit the ITV soap less than a year after they first joined, it has been reported.

Since the summer, Karene Peter plays Naomi Walters – the long-lost daughter of Reverend Charles Anderson.

A source told The sunKarene has enjoyed her time on the soap, but it’s time for her to go.

“Being on Emmerdale was a dream, but she became an actor to play different roles and that’s exactly what she wants to do.

“The door won’t close on Naomi, so she can always come back later.”

It will be a full circle moment for Karene as she will soon be filming her final scenes which will air in the summer – about a year after she first joined.
