Furious Emmerdale fans slammed Samson Dingle after Friday’s episode, after he labeled Amelia Spencer ‘selfish’.
The teenager berated his daughter Esther’s mother after she admitted she didn’t want to check for a lump in her breast for fear she could have cancer.
While trying to convince Amelia (Daisy Campbell) to go to the hospital, Samson (Sam Hall) insisted she was “selfish” because if “something happens to her, Esther will grow up without a mother.”
The harsh statement sparked anger from some fans, especially given the way Samson had treated Amelia and their daughter.

Despite Samson’s harsh words, Amelia found the courage to attend her appointment, after undergoing tests and a biopsy, she was told to wait for the results.
Later, Amelia confided in her ex Noah about her cancer fears while waiting for the results of her tests.
“You’re not going to die,” Noah assured him, fearing being diagnosed with cancer.

While Amelia feared what would happen to her daughter Esther when she was gone, Noah said he wanted to be with her.
Amelia dumped Noah after it was revealed that Samson had been blackmailing him for money in his trust fund, insisting he stay away from Esther if paid.
Despite Samson being responsible, Amelia berated Noah for giving him the money and dumped him.
Fans have been hoping the pair would rekindle their romance, and spoilers for next week have hinted that Samson will finally recognize the error of his ways and beg Amelia’s forgiveness.
Lydia gives a defensive Samson both barrels on the way he treated her, but his father Sam becomes more sympathetic to Samson’s situation as it becomes clear that Amelia’s ordeal caused the loss of his own mother Alice.
Frustrated, Samson worries for Esther, but admits he still can’t be the father Sam has been to him.
The next day, Samson tries to apologize to Amelia, but she is tired and hurt and doesn’t have the energy to listen to him.
