Mack and Chloe recently became parents after their one-night stand last year and keep their contact for Mack’s wife Charity.
But on Thursday’s episode, Charity finally found out that Mack is Reuben’s father when she saw him visit the sick baby in the hospital.
On Friday, Mack faced the consequences of his lying when a tearful Charity confronted him during his one-night stand with Chloe.
Charity even went to the hospital and yelled at Chloe, furious at her and Mack’s lies, before being urged to leave by a nurse.
The episode ended on a dramatic cliffhanger when Charity was furious that she “despised” Mack and kicked him out of the house.
The explosive argument started at the beginning of the episode, when a tearful Charity asked Mack to explain why he had lied to her and married her while the secret was out over him.
He said, “It happened once, that’s it, I hated lying to you, but as time went on I never really knew where to start.”
Charity then asked Mack when the one-night stand with Chloe happened, to which he replied, “It happened after an argument, about kids… I want a kid.” I really thought we were over.’

Charity said of the loss of their child, “I was heartbroken, I was grieving,” and Mack replied, “Me too, and you pretty much told me… never mind.” You said go and scatter your seed.’
An enraged Charity said, “Wow, really take my word for it,” before Mack said his actions were because he was drunk.”
She hissed, “When the baby was gone you were desperate to try again and I told you it wouldn’t happen but you pushed and pushed. When you couldn’t make me, you slept with a teenager!’
But Mack hit back with, “I wanted us to have a baby, I didn’t want hers.” I wanted her to get rid of it.’
He added, “Charity, what do you want me to do or say? I screwed up, I slept with Chloe once, she wanted to be a mother, what could I do?’
Mack vowed never to see Reuben or Chloe again, before discovering that her granddaughter Sarah Sugden (Katie Hill) also knew the secret.
Mack then said he had intended to tell her but didn’t because she was sorting out their plumbing, and Charity then realized he was when he proposed.
Horrified, she said, “No, no, no,” but Mack hit back with, “That’s not why I asked you—” as Charity added, “To marry me?”
She bellowed, “What better way to throw me off than to ask… there I was thinking, look Charity, finally found someone who’s on to her.
“You swerved down that aisle knowing this could blow up at any moment, destroy us, blow us apart, all because you’re a mean, cheating liar—how could you do this to us?”

Thrown out: On Friday, Mack faced the consequences of his lying when a tearful charity confronted him during his one-night stand with Chloe (Jessie Elland)
After storming out, Charity went to confront Chloe at the hospital despite the new mother urging her not to scream at the hospital with baby Reuben who has become unwell, who has bacterial meningitis.
Charity furious: “Drop that sick boy, you treated me like a complete fool! I trusted you, I took you in, because I’ve been there… You still stayed! Look me in the eye!’
Chloe insisted that Mack wanted Charity, saying, “Mackenzie doesn’t want Reuben, he doesn’t want me.”
But Charity snapped back loudly, “Should you have crossed your legs? It takes two to tango.’
Chloe said, “Hate me, but don’t hate Mackenzie for loving you, don’t throw that away.”
An upset Charity insisted, “The drunken night, I can handle that, I probably still would have smothered you guys, but I would have gotten over it and forgiven him.”
Chloe then offered to leave with Reuben, before dropping the bombshell that Mack had offered to pay for a flat for her, which never happened in the end.
Charity infuriated, “Admit it, you and the baby, this is what Mack wanted, and he bloody made sure I never found out.”
Shock: It comes after Charity finally found out that Mackenzie Boyd is Reuben’s father on Thursday’s episode when she saw her husband visiting the sick baby in the hospital
After Charity left the hospital, Chloe was seen telling Reuben, “We’ve had a pretty shaky start, haven’t we?” But I promise you, as long as we’re together, no one will come between us. Okay? I swear.’
Charity then went back to confront Mack again, telling him, “I thought we were partners, equals, I told you everything.” I showed you all of my life, but you planned two lives, one with me and one with them. I’ve been so blind.’
Mack begged, “I’ll give them up forever, but Charity hit back with, ‘More lies!’
Mack insisted, “I never lied that I loved you.”
But Charity raged, “Well I despise you, remember this moment for the rest of your life, okay? The moment you lost everything. Go.’
Mack then looked dejected as he left her house while Charity appeared in tears as it remains to be seen if the pair will overcome the obstacle.
It comes after Chloe was devastated when Reuben was put on a ventilator and had to fight for his life in hospital after contracting bacterial meningitis.
Devastated: As Charity watched, Mack said to Reuben, “Well you sure know how to scare your father Reuben, you’re gorgeous and you’ve been such a brave boy”
However, when Mack rushed to the hospital to support Chloe and the baby, Charity came to visit and was greatly shocked to see her husband visiting Reuben and realize the truth.
After Chloe and Mack were told that Reuben’s condition was improving, Charity secretly saw them adoring the little one when she heard him say he’s the baby’s father.
As Charity watched, Mack said to Reuben, “Well you sure know how to scare your father Reuben, you’re gorgeous and you’ve been such a brave boy, that must be the Scotsman in you.”
