Emmerdale viewers were left seething during Monday’s episode as they watched Rhona Goskirk come to a difficult decision following her ex-husband Gus Malcolm’s recent arrival in the village.

After a lengthy divorce that saw her lose custody of their dog, Rhona (Zoë Henry) was furious when she found her ex in the Woolpack last week and furiously berated him for trying to contact her.

The surprising new character stunned many fans when they noted that Rhona never mentioned her marriage to Gus (Alan McKenna) during her 13 years on the soap, despite Rhona last week labeling him the “worst mistake of my life.”
