Emmerdale fans could hardly contain their joy when the ‘beyond annoying’ character Naomi Walters finally took an abrupt farewell from the Yorkshire village on Thursday.
Naomi, played by Karene Peter, turned her back on her job as a pub chef after being accused of stealing from the cash register and handing out free pints to family members.
For some, her dramatic departure couldn’t have come sooner as fans took to Twitter to share their horror at the on-screen character Karene, 32, portrayed.
Nami had vehemently protested her innocence, but insisted she leave the country.
“This time tonight I’ll be in Ibiza and I’m not coming back,” she vowed, as soap fans breathed a sigh of relief.
