Emmerdale fans were ‘kept in the dark’ during Wednesday night’s episode as Cain Dingle left town for a ‘mysterious’ road trip with Caleb Milligan.
After forming a shaky alliance, the brothers are about to hit the road, leaving viewers still guessing as to what the unreliable duo might be up to.
During the scenes, Cain and Caleb were caught by Chas whispering about a trip while discussing the upcoming trip in the Woolpack.
And it looks like Chas isn’t the only person who thinks they’re up to no good, as Cain’s wife Moria and Nate question their motives.
Cain made an excuse and told his wife that he was on a business trip to help bring some cars over from the Netherlands because Caleb needs a mechanic.

Furious at the news of a last-minute trip, Moria threatened to change the locks while he was away, but that didn’t stop Cain from leaving.
“Wait, you’re leaving today? What about the garage? You can’t just go up there and leave him!’, she raged.
She continued, “Since when did you two become travel buddies because you couldn’t stand that guy a few weeks ago?”
Cain tried to reason, “It’s work and it’s well paid.”
‘You do what you want, you do it anyway. But if you come back and find the locks have been changed, don’t be so surprised!’ she threatened.
When he arrived for a cup of tea, Nate assured Moria that he was as “in the dark” as she was about the trip.
“Yes, something is going on and I suggest we find out what,” she agreed.
