It was another packed episode of Emmerdale on Wednesday night as Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) gushed about her ex Mackenzie and Chloe’s engagement.
In the final part, a nervous Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) had to tell Charity about his plans to marry Chloe Harris (Jessie Elland).
She put on a brave face at first, but soon started drinking and invited boyfriend Liam Cavanagh (Jonny McPherson) on a date to get back at him.
Remaining calm, she said to Mackenzie as he shared the news, “You don’t owe me an explanation, but can you still get engaged if you’re already married?”
She then added, “I’m happy for both of you, glad you’re moving on too.”
Tense: It was another busy episode of Emmerdale on Wednesday night as Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) gushed about her ex Mackenzie and Chloe’s engagement
Tough to watch: Elsewhere in Wednesday’s episode, rapist Craig continued to manipulate Samson, but Mandy was determined to find out the truth
Unfortunately, the location she chose for the date with Liam was the B&B where Chloe and Mackenzie also had a reservation.
Liam sat awkwardly next to each other and got caught in the crossfire as Charity’s self-control quickly deserted her after she spent the night cracking jokes at Chloe.
Then she said angrily to him at the table, “You know I’m just using you, right? You’re so boring!’
Charity was rejected by Mackenzie in dramatic Emmerdale scenes earlier this summer.
The couple slept together at the time and even talked about getting back together, despite the fact that Mack has been trying to build a life with baby Reuben’s mother, Chloe.
Elsewhere in Wednesday’s episode, rapist Craig continued to manipulate Samson, but Mandy was determined to find out the truth.
The psychopathic developer managed to twist everything to fit his own version of events, making the gullible Samson believe that Lydia Dingle is cheating on his father.
But Mandy quickly got involved and wanted to know more before reporting her findings to Belle.

It comes as Emmerdale fans count down the days to Super Soap Week, with a blockbuster series of episodes set to keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
After Chloe discovers that her fiancé Mackenzie has betrayed her, she wants to leave her husband-to-be in the middle of nowhere with his ex Charity.
Things take a dramatic turn when a car crashes into them, and Mack is forced to choose which woman he can save from the crash.
Elsewhere, Lydia finally reveals to her loved ones that she was raped by her teenage ex Craig, after weeks of keeping quiet about her trauma.
