Emmerdale: Caleb rages at his son Nicky after he was revealed as his attacker
Caleb raged at his son Nicky after being revealed as his attacker when he woke up in hospital remembering everything on Wednesday night in Emmerdale.
Caleb was left in a coma after being pushed off a cliff and left for dead when the village tried to expose the villain – but Nicky admitted this on Tuesday while bedridden next to his unconscious father.
In recent episodes, the entire village turned on Caleb, as he called out to his family in a Western-style scene at the Woolpack.
In a major whodunnit, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley), Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi) and Will Taylor (Dean Andrews) were all potential suspects, and the police worked hard to uncover the villain.
But as soon as Caleb came off the ventilator, he was eager to let Nicky know he knew it was him after he remembered the incident.

Ouch: Caleb was left in a coma after being pushed off a cliff and left for dead when the village tried to expose the villain – but Nicky admitted it on Tuesday while lying in bed with his unconscious father
When he woke up, he said, “It’s a shock that someone hated me enough to kill me!”
Nicky (Lewis Cope) then tried to leave the hospital after staying there all night, when Caleb firmly said, “No, sit down, there are things we need to talk about.”
“You can stop pretending you care. I remember exactly what happened and it was you who pushed me. You could be charged with attempted murder.’
‘I suppose you thought you could get away with it! You left me there to die!’
He replied, “I am guilty, but you are not exactly you. You wouldn’t tell the police about me, would you, Dad?’
A flashback of the woods scene then played as Caleb fell while Nicky watched his body fall to the floor.
Nicky had tried to blame Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb), but Caleb saw him cross.
Earlier in the episode, Nicky had looked relieved when Doctor said “he probably won’t remember much anyway.”

Later, Nicky returned to his bed when Caleb said, “Oh, are you back?” Would you put a pillow over my head?
“I can pin this on you or Mackenzie, so when you see the police coming to you, you know I chose you.”
The episode then ended on a cliffhanger as viewers will have to wait to see what Caleb decides to do.
In a shocking turn of events, Nicky confessed to his father Caleb’s hospital bedside on Tuesday.
In an interrogation room, police told Mack that the charge could be changed from attempted murder to murder as Caleb’s condition worsened, before the scene cut to Nicky telling his unconscious father, “I thought I killed you.”
As the credits rolled, fans were elated that they had already rumbled who the assailant was, before Nicky’s confession.
One wrote, “I knew it was Nicky! I don’t blame him because the way Caleb treated him was shocking.”
Another said, “Knew it was Tricky Nicky.”
A third viewer commented, “And that’s it for tonight – see you all tomorrow for more now that the fastest whodunnit in soap history has ended!”
Nicky recently fled the village after confessing his sexuality to his fiancé Gabby.
And he’s not yet on the police radar, so the question is, will he blame innocent Mack for the attack?
Lewis, who plays Nicky, told the storyline The express: ‘The reason we [want to] getting revenge is so we can take care of my mother.
‘So he [Caleb] just lied to me all the time and it was only then that i realized and discovered that information.

“So I then follow him into the woods and I think it’s just a whim… I think he’s been pushed into a corner and he feels betrayed and hurt and something just comes over him and he just takes a decision and anger gains the upper hand.’
Elsewhere on Tuesday’s show, Chas was upset when she heard the recently returned Paddy and Mandy announce their relationship with Bear.
When alone, Mandy made her moves on Paddy, but she continues to deflate when he makes excuses.
The next day, Mandy and Paddy felt the pressure of the village’s eyes on their relationship, and when Mandy asked him to sleep over, Paddy dissuaded her with excuses.
Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7.30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
