Emma Willis burst into tears on Monday as she talked about what an amazing father her husband Matt was on The Newlyweds Podcast.
The 48-year-old presenter married the 41-year-old Busted singer in 2008 and they have three children: Isabelle, 15, Ace, 12, and eight-year-old Trixie.
They appeared together on the latest episode of couple Jamie Laing and Sophie Habboo’s podcast, where they opened up about how their romance began and spoke candidly about their nearly two-decade relationship.
But at one point Emma became visibly emotional, bringing Jamie, Sophie and Matt to tears as she talked about having children.
After Jamie admitted his nerves about starting a family, the TV presenter said: “You remind me a bit of Matt. I don’t really know you but you seem like a bit of an excited puppy.”

She continued, “That’s just the way Matt is. And when we had kids, it was like his best friend was there.
“He’s my partner and my equal and sometimes he’s like my fourth child. And I mean that in the best possible way, because that’s how he is when he’s with his children.”
Emma felt a lump in her throat and started to cry as she added, “He just gets down on their level and he fucks them phenomenally.”
She reached out to Matt, who was also close to tears, and added, “Honestly, it will make you the best version of yourself.”
Jamie and Sophie were also visibly moved, as Jamie felt tears in his eyes and said: ‘Why am I getting emotional? Why are you getting emotional?’, while Sophie added: ‘I know I’m getting goosebumps!’
To lighten the mood, Emma said, “Otherwise you’ll catch fire!” Matt added, “It’s a huge adjustment.”
Emma continued, “And it’s hard, but it’s the best hard possible. The only thing you want hard for.”
Matt continued, “I see my kids as the best versions of both of us. Sometimes I see some of the bad sides, but I also see a lot of the great sides of both of us in them. So it’s mean.”

Emma and Matt have recently joined forces as co-hosts of the British spin-off of the popular Netflix dating show Love Is Blind.
Matt recently raved about his wife of 16 years, praising her work ethic, saying: “She’s the f*****g best at what she does.”
Speaking with Principle Magazine Speaking about how it felt to work with Emma professionally again, the drummer said it made him realise how much he still enjoyed the time he spent with her.
He explained: ‘Working with Emma is so great because it’s easy, you know? I was really nervous about it because I’m not a TV presenter. She just said, “Just be yourself.” I thought, “How the f*** am I going to do that?”
“But I have a safe pair of hands next to me, who are the f*****g best at what they do. So I just go with her.”
He continued: ‘I’ve been with her for like half my life. When work and kids and stuff gets in the way, sometimes you forget that, “Oh, I still f*****g love you.”
‘I mean, we love each other, but you forget like, “Oh, I really like you, I want to hang out with you more than anyone else,” and that’s so f*****g nice.

‘I’ve dated a few times before her, had the occasional girlfriend, but Emma was my first real relationship so I don’t really know how the dating world works. Everything I hear about that world is f*****g cool.’
Matt was only 22 when he started dating Emma, then 29, in 2005. The two married three years later.
The couple has been very open about Matt’s past struggles with sobriety and rreleased the BBC documentary Matt Willis: Fighting Addiction last year.
Matt later admitted that Emma was reluctant to take part in the documentary, saying: ‘I actually had to talk her into it.’
He added: ‘It is part [of addiction] what isn’t talked about – the effect it has on the people around you’, while Emma explained that looking back on Matt’s struggle was difficult, but also ‘incredibly cathartic’.
She said: ‘It was difficult to relive that period in our lives, but it was also incredibly liberating to talk about those dark days.
“We are all imperfect and we shouldn’t feel like we have to hide parts of ourselves to be loved. Ultimately, it was our love and hard work that got us where we are today.”
