“Do you carry an inverted umbrella?” Emma Watson leaves fans confused with her ‘gravity-defying’ dress
Emma Watson left fans stunned on Monday with her ‘gravity-defying’ dress.
The Harry Potter actress, 33, took to Instagram where she posted snaps of herself posing with her brother Alex for his new gin brand, Renais.
Emma looked sensational in a stunning strapless baby blue draped mini dress with asymmetric wiring, from Loewe’s Spring 2023 collection.
The superstar’s followers were immediately confused about the structure of the garment, wondering how it stayed in place and wondering if it was Harry Potter-esque wizardry.
One fan asked, “What in the wingardium leviosa is that dress?” while another said, “The dress looks like it’s floating.” I’m trying to understand.’

“The dress said wingardium leviosa,” someone else commented while another follower asked, “How does that dress look on your body?” Hanging by your ears?’
One claimed, “This dress defies physics,” while another admitted, “This image deceives me,” while another commented, “The dress gives wingardium leviosa.”
The new photos come just days after Emma hitched a ride with Ryan Kohn, the snack brand’s founder, as the duo frolicked in Venice.
The newly single star looked buoyant just weeks after it was reported she had split from retail magnate Sir Philip Green’s son, Brandon.
Emma was with Brandon for 18 months and it was in Venice when their relationship became public after being seen holding hands.
MailOnline reached out to a representative for Emma at the time for comment.
Emma and Brandon are said to have broken up some time after Christmas – after a ‘serious’ romance.
Brandon had a reputation as a party buff and previously dated a number of models. He was once caught patting Kate Moss on the buttocks while vacationing in St. Barths.

Raised in the tax haven of Monaco, his Bar Mitzvah, at the legendary Hotel Du Cap, includes performances by Beyonce and Andrea Bocelli.
More recently, however, he has shown an interest in good works, including biodiversity and the oceans, and has been described by friends as “polite and smart.”
With a start-up technology investment company, Brendan seemed like a good match for Emma, a serious woman who attended Brown University post-Potter.
She now harbors ambitions behind the camera, having set up two film production companies and directed herself in a Prada commercial.
During a period of being single, Emma remarked that she was a “self-partner,” but by more conventional standards she was a serial monogamist – and serially unlucky in love.
An early friend was rugby player Tom Ducker. He was followed by a more serious romance with fellow Oxford University students Will Adamowicz and Matt Janney.
She has dated three young tech millionaires, most notably the entrepreneur William ‘Mack’ Knight.
They split in late 2017 after a two-year romance. On the rebound, she was in a six-month love affair with handsome Glee actor Chord Overstreet. They broke up in the summer of 2018.

She was then spotted sharing cocktails with tech CEO Brendan Wallace, the co-founder of a venture capital fund she may or may not be dating again.
By the summer of 2019, she had moved on to another tech millionaire, Brendan Iribe, CEO of Oculus. He was followed by businessman Leo Robinton, with whom she spent two years.
In an interview, she said, “The boyfriends or partners I’ve had generally make me feel really nurtured. They built me up.’
