Emma Watson crushes ice using her Prada HEELS, sheds light on the ‘first world problems’ of her childhood and grills Edward Enninful on Kate Moss during Vogue cocktail class
Emma Watson smashed ice with her Prada heels, grilled Edward Enninful on gossip and shed light on her charmed youth during a Vogue cocktail session.
The Harry Potter star, 33, took part in the fashion bible’s Great British Taste Test series, which has so far seen Olivia Colman pull pints and Adele eat cockles, while Emma was tasked with creating a whole range of cocktails.
Before making an Espresso Martini, a gin sour, a Bramble and a Vesper Martini with her brother Alex and The Emma Spritz, Emma called Vogue boss Edward to ask him about Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell.
She then explained how her dad Chris made wine that was left at an icy temperature in Emma and Alex’s nursery – something she admitted was ‘probably the definition of a first world problem’.
While making her Bramble, Emma was short on kitchen utensils, so she opted to use Prada heels to crush the ice and quickly apologized to Prada designer Miuccia Prada for overusing the object, which seemed to her to tickle.

Emma opened the segment by revealing that she had created a notebook where she recorded and learned on screen the cocktails she was going to make, before saying: ‘I love learning and I love taking notes’.
Showing off her ties to the fashion world, she picked up her phone and called Vogue boss Edward to ask him the real story behind Kate and Naomi’s ties to the famous Espresso Martini – with the hilarious story tickling him.
In his phone conversation he said, “Edward, my first cocktail to make is an Espresso Martini and I have a feeling that of all the people in the world, you might be the one who knows this piece of information.
She then explained the story to Edward, saying, “(The story is) it was made for Naomi or Kate, they walked into a bar and said they wanted a cocktail that would ‘pick me up and fuck me.’ ‘.’
Although he couldn’t determine the facts, Edward replied, “I don’t know, but I’m sure I’ll find out.” I love that story’.
Emma’s heel then took center stage, as she removed her heel to crush the ice and apologized to Miuccia beforehand, saying, “So the reason I’m excited to make this cocktail is because I get to crush ice…
‘I’m taking off my shoe because there’s no rolling pin. I need to crush this ice with something and I think this might be the best thing I can do with it…
‘Actually, this is better than a rolling pin! I’m not sure if Miuccia had this in mind when she designed this shoe, but it’s actually a great kitchen tool.”
Emma talked about her father Chris’s wine

Emma collaborated with her brother to make gin from the remains of their father’s wine, made on his estate in Burgundy, and for the segment she used both her own gun and ‘Papa Watson’s wine’: the Domaine Watson 2022 Chablis .
She remembers growing up with her father’s winemaking, saying, “This wine was the reason I slept in a very cold bedroom as a child, because he kept the wine bottles in the back of mine and Alex’s room.” ..
“So we often complained about it being cold, and he said, ‘Well, you have to keep the wine at a certain temperature.’ I think that’s probably the definition of a first world problem…’
As they competed in a cocktail-making race, Alex shed light on life with his sister and warned, “Everyone is about to see how competitive Emma is… for all the younger brothers traveling along and an overachieving having a sister, we’re in this together.
Later in the video, Emma shed light on what she’s working on professionally, revealing that she’s made the transition from acting to writing and directing.
She said: “I’ve been writing and directing, and I’m really enjoying it. It started in Covid and I realized how much I loved it and wanted to keep doing it. And so I’m studying that now. To direct something I wrote one day…
‘That would make me quite excited. I don’t see myself as stepping back from acting. I just see myself expanding what I do… to really be at the forefront of a project takes time. Movies can be decades in the making…
‘Find it, write it down and put it together. I don’t see it as a closure, I see it as an opening.’
