Emma Stone burst into tears during a Q&A for her new film Poor Things in London after an autistic fan opened up about his ‘lonely’ school life.
The 35-year-old actress couldn’t control her emotions on Thursday when a boy poured his heart out and revealed that her old Saturday Night Live skits helped him get through school.
After being reduced to tears by the lifelong fan, The Amazing Spider Man star jumped off the stage to give him a supportive hug.
Emma, who won two Golden Globes for her role, plays Bella Baxter, a woman brought back to life by the brilliant and unorthodox scientist Dr. Godwin Baxter.
In a question and answer session at a UK screening at Curzon Soho, the audience member said: ‘I’ve been watching your career for the last twelve years. I love Poor Things, which I’ve seen in six viewings.

‘You always bring electricity to the screen in all your performances and everything you make is always pure and honest.
“I truly fell in love with your heart, your confidence, your evil power, your advocacy for mental health and awareness. Growing up as one of the few autistic kids in school, I felt lonely and unable to make friends at recess. I snuck into a computer room to look at your old SNL sketches.
“You said a few times that you felt insecure when you didn’t graduate high school and go to college, but I enjoyed the comfort and security you brought me during those years,”
The audience then burst into applause as the moving story left Emma in tears.
The audience member greeted her with a huge bouquet as they held each other, crying and unable to control their emotions.
Others watching the question-and-answer session said “aww’d” to the couple and kept the applause going.
Emma privately told the boy “that was so cute” as they shared another heartfelt hug.
When the tearful actress returned to the stage, she asked if he had a question, to which he replied yes.

He said, “What is your favorite message that you will take from this experience for the rest of your life?”
Emma replied: ‘I think Bella is also someone who experiences life in a way that is not determined by social constructs and that she is able to absorb life experiences in a completely original way and that she sees the good and the bad in equal measure mate sees. and she’s fascinated by what life has to offer and she’s not like anyone else and that’s very inspiring and so I think that’s the biggest thing that has touched me the most.”
For the star-studded event, Emma looked sensational as she donned a long black leather skirt, black sheer tights and a chunky black tank top.
She added inches to her petite, statuesque figure in a pair of black open-toed heels with a cross around her ankle.
She accessorized her matrix-inspired look with an Elsa Peretti Bean designer pendant and Tiffany earrings.

Based on the 1992 novel by Alasdair Gray, the film follows Bella, a young woman in Victorian London, who is resurrected by a scientist (Willem) after her suicide and embarks on an odyssey of self-discovery and sexual liberation.

The critically acclaimed film also stars Mark Ruffalo, Willem Dafoe and Ramy Youssef.

To secure her second Oscar, Emma will have to beat Annette Bening for Nyad, Lily Gladstone for Killers of the Flower Moon, Sandra Huller for Anatomy of a Fall, and Carey Mulligan for Maestro.
Emma won the Critics Choice Award for her role and has been nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for her performance in Poor Things.
She will reunite with Willem, 68, in another Yorgos Lanthimos production, anthology film Kinds Of Kindness.
The film also stars Joe Alwyn, who famously dated Taylor Swift, and Euphoria star Hunter Schafer.
She is tipped to win an Oscar for her portrayal of Bella Baxter in the sci-fi comedy
