Garrett Hedlund celebrated his 38th birthday with his son Rhodes.
In photos shared on his Instagram account on Sunday, the 38-year-old actor was seen enjoying a boat trip with his two-year-old.
The actor, who recently starred alongside Mel Gibson in a trailer for an upcoming film, wrote a short message in his caption to thank his fans for their well wishes on his special day.
It said, ‘Oh Captain, My Captain! The biggest birthday a moron could ever ask for. Thank you all for your wonderful wishes! All my heart!’

The Tulsa King actor was seen in a striped button-down shirt and loose-fitting pants while spending time with Rhodes.
The artist eventually changed into striped swimming trunks, which served to show off his muscular legs.

The actor was previously linked to Kirsten Dunst, and the pair briefly got engaged before going their separate ways.
The Inside Llewyn Davis actor finally moved on with Roberts in 2019 and it was revealed that the two were preparing to start a family in August 2020.
The actor and 32-year-old actress brought Rhodes into their lives in December.
Hedlund spoke Entertainment tonight at the time to express his enthusiasm about becoming a father.
The artist stated that ‘every day is a blessing’ and described his son as ‘an angel’.

It was also revealed that country singer Tim McGraw is Rhodes’ godfather.
The former couple stayed together for just over a year before separating in January 2022.
Hedlund has maintained a friendly relationship with Roberts since their divorce, and he paid tribute to her in the video for his song Day One, which was released in May.
