Tennis star Emma Raducanu has released photos of her recovery from recent surgery as she will miss the French Open and Wimbledon due to surgery.

The 20-year-old, who shot to international stardom after winning the US Open in 2021, posted photos of herself with a bandaged wrist, surrounded by chocolates and also holding a hug.

It is unclear whether she will be fit in time to compete in this year’s US Open.

She previously said, “It’s safe to say the last 10 months have been difficult because I’ve been dealing with a recurring injury to a bone of both hands.”

Raducanu, who hails from Kent, added: ‘I did my best to manage the pain and play through most of this year and the end of last year by drastically reducing the training load, missing weeks of training and short last season. try to cure it.
