Emma Raducanu plays her first game in more than two months this Friday, although she still does not have a new coach for the new season.
The former US Open champion will take on Wimbledon finalist Ons Jabeur in a one-off exhibition match at the Mubadala championships in Abu Dhabi.
It will be his first outing of any kind since ending his year on tour in the Czech Republic in early October.

After that, he lost another coach in Dmitry Tursunov, only hitting the court again earlier this month due to wrist problems.
As the search for a new mentor continues, she hopes an extended period of physical training will help her avoid the repeat problems that have dogged her this year.
“I’ve put on a two-month exercise block and I’m looking forward to seeing how that carries me into 2023,” he said. As for tennis, I went two months without touching a racket due to a wrist injury and now it’s about rebuilding that for me.

“In the previous season, I had a big challenge to stay in good physical shape, but this is a big goal for me in 2023.

His fellow US Open champion returns to action next week in the ‘Battle of the Brits’ match between Scotland and England in Aberdeen, and was honored with the Arthur Ashe ATP Tour Humanitarian of the Year award yesterday.
