Emma Raducanu missed a place in the Korea Open final because she had to stop in her semifinal due to an injury.

The 19-year-old Briton was 4-6, 6-3, 3-0 behind Latvian Jelena Ostapenko in Seoul, but was unable to finish the game.

Raducanu came out of a bad luck to win the first set, but former French Open champion Ostapenko tied the score in the second set and had taken the lead.

Raducanu, the winner of the US Open last year, had bid to reach her first final in a regular WTA Tour event after winning her three previous matches.

She fell behind early in the first set, but broke right back to claim a decisive break at 4-4.

She carried the momentum into the second set and broke again, but this time Ostapenko hit back quickly.
