Emma Raducanu grins as she enjoys test drive at Brands Hatch in Porsche 911 GT3

Emma Raducanu has enjoyed a test drive in a Porsche 911 GT3 with a top speed of 200mph and a starting price of £135,700.

The 20-year-old tennis star, who is an ambassador for the luxury car brand, beamed as she prepared to take the wheel alongside racing driver Adam Smalley.

She exclaimed ‘This is so much fun’ as they made their way around the field and soon switched with Emma taking a turn.

The tennis star, whose other love is motorsports, seemed a natural to drive the supercar, with Adam quipping: “I’m going to be out of a job.”

Emma rocked a pink hoodie for the trip, tying her brunette locks into a ponytail.

After the experience, Emma said: “I loved the GT3, it was great fun to drive and adds to my experience of being a spectator here at Brands Hatch.”

‘It was amazing to have Adam here teaching me. It was probably the best way to learn.

The tennis star, who has already set foot on the Silverstone court, said: “I can’t wait for my next Porsche experience.”

The Grand Slam winner is passionate about fast cars and has visited Silverstone on multiple occasions.

It comes after he traded in his £5,000 Dacia Sandero for a Porsche 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet in October.

The silver car, with a red soft top, has a top speed of 192 mph and can do 0-62 mph in 3.6 seconds.

Prices for the model start at £124,800. The Dacia Sandero, by contrast, was once dubbed Britain’s cheapest car.

It can be bought new for under £12,000, has a top speed of just over 100mph and takes around 12 seconds to go from 0-62mph.

Earlier this year, she became a ‘brand ambassador’ for her favorite car company, Porsche, revealing that her childhood dream was to own her own 911.

She said: ‘My first memory was one of my coach’s 911s when I was young.

“Every time I’d get to practice, I’d see his Porsche and it would make me dream of one day sitting in mine.”

The Bromley-based sports star has had a rapid rise to A-list celebrity status following her triumph at the US Open last September, and has since been invited to be an ambassador for a variety of sports brands. luxury.

An avid fan of motorsports, Emma tried her hand at go-karts and dirt bikes growing up, but decided to put the passion on hold to focus on her burgeoning career as a tennis player.

‘When I was younger, I remember the Porsche Grand Prix was always a great tournament and a very different unique tournament because the winner would get a Porsche. That was always very special,’ he said.

“When I was a kid, I would go to Brands Hatch and watch the Porsche Carrera Cup finals. The adrenaline that I got from motorsports and seeing the Porsches was actually the most fun part of my week.

The tennis star says the Porsche 911 is his favorite car, recalling one of his early coaches driving to training in the ‘iconic’ vehicle.

“One of my first tennis coaches drove a 911,” he said. “Every time I would arrive at practice in the morning, I would see his Porsche, I would be in awe and dream of one day sitting in mine.

‘My favorite car is the 911 without a doubt. Through the generations it is so unique and beautiful in every way. I feel like it’s one of the most iconic cars out there.”
