Emma McVey has broken her silence following her split from husband Gaz Beadle after two years of marriage.

The model and influencer, 31, posed for a sweet mirror selfie with her two children Chester, five, and Primrose, three, who she shares with Gaz.

She also shared an adorable video of Primrose helping to dry the dishes after a family meal.

On Monday, Geordie Shore star Gaz announced he had split from his wife Emma three weeks ago.

The reality star, 35, took to his Instagram to share the news with his followers while taking part in a Q&A.

A fan asked if he was still in a relationship with Emma, ​​to which he replied, “No, we broke up about three weeks ago, we’re still friends, there’s no bad blood or anything.”

‘We figured out the best way to do it for the kids, which will always be the most important thing for me and Emma. We both deserve to be happy, but we also deserve to be parents.”

Gaz and Emma have two children together: a son Chester, five, and a daughter named Primrose, three.

Emma has not yet discussed the breakup on her social media.

Gaz – real name Gary – is best known for appearing on the MTV reality series Geordie Shore from 2011 to 2017.

In 2015, he appeared in the second series of Ex on the Beach, and later returned to take part in the fifth series of All Stars in 2016.

The couple married in July 2021 and both of their children watched them walk down the aisle.

The ceremony took place in Cheshire with 90 people in attendance.

The couple was together for three years before getting engaged in 2019.

The model and influencer underwent open-heart surgery to repair three holes in her heart and her triscupid valve, which controls blood flow between the right atrium and the right ventricle.

After Emma revealed she was terrified of not seeing her husband and two children again, she said she had ‘mentally prepared’ for the ‘final goodbye’ when her family dropped her off at the hospital.

She told The Sun of her ordeal: ‘They came to the hospital to drop me off and Gary had to drive away with the kids crying their eyes out after we said goodbye.

‘That was the hardest part. I had to mentally prepare myself that this could be my last goodbye.

‘I knew that during the operation I would be connected to a heart machine2 that would keep me alive while my heart had stopped, and I kept thinking, ‘They won’t be able to start my heart again.’ I thought, ‘I’m going to fall asleep and I won’t come out.’

Emma, ​​who was born with three holes in her heart, also told of the difficult recovery from the six-hour operation, which left her struggling to move and in immense pain.

She said: ‘I had a big tube in my neck with lots of wires coming out of it. “I couldn’t sit up or move on my side and because the morphine made me sick I didn’t want to press the morphine button, so I probably didn’t take as much medication as I should, which made the pain worse.”

However, Emma’s recovery suffered a major setback when she suffered a collapsed lung, which subsequently caused surgical emphysema, a rare lung condition in which air becomes trapped under the skin.

However, the beauty quickly recovered and six days later she was allowed to return home to her family.

In the aftermath of her procedure, Emma took to her Instagram where she expressed her gratitude to the medical staff who helped her through her difficult time.

She wrote: ‘I came into this month with a healthy heart, I will never be able to thank my surgeon, doctors, nurses and everyone else involved. I had 2 small holes, 1 large hole and my triscupid valve repaired.

‘They gave me a new life to enjoy with my babies and really don’t get the credit they deserve ♥️

“I’ve come so far since this photo two weeks ago. Immediately after this was taken, I cried and vomited, unable to move, while my brother and mother just changed buckets under my chin.

‘Day 2 I was crying in pain trying to take deep breaths and coughing, and on day 3 I was asking how I was ever going to get myself out of bed. Here I am now, I left the house yesterday and saw the kids playing outside on their bikes and I have never been happier.”

Emma, ​​who suffered from seizures, exhaustion and fainting for years due to her condition and who also suffered from ulcerative colitis (an autoimmune disease in which the colon becomes inflamed and ulcers develop), was left with an eight-inch scar after her operation about. .

And the star has since been praised for normalizing scars after sharing a photo of her scar on social media.

Emma insisted she wasn’t ‘hiding’ it from her children or on social media, and told how she wants to show children undergoing heart surgery that a scar is ‘something to be proud of’.

Meanwhile, after making a full recovery, Emma shared her joy that she and Gaz can now try for a third baby – after learning that carrying her first two children could have been fatal due to the extra pressure it put on would have exercised her. heart.

She said she would like to have a third child “in the future” but isn’t ready for a baby that “kicks me in the ribs.”

She has previously spoken openly about her health problems, admitting that they have resulted in dramatic weight loss, and that she cannot have another child without undergoing heart surgery.

Emma explained the situation in 2021: ‘I have three large holes in my heart and damaged tissue causing my blood to flow the wrong way, the right side of my heart is now enlarged and weak, along with high blood pressure in my lungs.

‘This has all become much worse because they should have been closed when I was a child. Unfortunately, no one checked my heart, even when I was having seizures and diagnosed with epilepsy or fainting like it was a hobby.”
