Emma Heming Willis shares family photos of Bruce Willis with daughter Mabel for her 11th birthday

Emma Heming Willis paid tribute to the eldest of her two daughters she shares with her husband Bruce Willis on his 11th birthday.

The proud mum took to her Instagram page over the weekend and posted a slideshow of family photos and videos showing Mabel living through the years, set to a soft instrumental section of the classic song Pictures Of You from The cure.

‘Happy 11th birthday Mabel Ray! Your energy is contagious, Emma, ​​44, began in the caption of the photo.

She added: ‘You can light up an entire room with your smile and warmth. It is beautiful to see how you love and care for your family and friends. Keep shining my love and always remember #liveitup.’

For the cover photo, the proud parents acted as bookends for Mabel, each giving her a kiss on the opposite cheek as she looked directly into the camera.

The flashback snapshot was taken several years ago, presumably when the birthday girl was a little girl.

She was still in her high chair for the second image in the post, which captured her giving off a big beaming smile.

The Die Hard star cradled Mabel in his arms, as he kissed her on the top of the head in the following image that could very well have been taken in her first year of life.

Many of the images showed the Die Hard star engaging in some kind of playful activity with his daughter, including when she took a swing on a swing; another of them sunbathing in a pool; and an endearing one that shows them improvising together with Mabel on the piano and her father on the harmonica.

To cap off the celebration, the proud mom recorded a quick video of Mabel blowing out the candles on her birthday cake.

Along with Mabel, Emma and Bruce also have an eight-year-old daughter, Evelyn.

The couple just celebrated their 14th wedding anniversary in March, though it’s up to Emma and Bruce which day they prefer.

In 2009, they were married on March 21 in the Turks and Caicos Islands, but it wasn’t legally binding, so they tied the knot again in a civil ceremony in Beverly Hills six days later.

The longtime Hollywood leading man also has three daughters: Rumer, 34, Scout, 31, and Tallulah, 29, who he shares with ex-wife Demi Moore.

Bruce celebrated his 68th birthday last month with all his daughters by his side, as well as 60-year-old Emma and Moore.

“It was a good day,” Emma wrote alongside a family photo.

‘He is pure love. He is so loved. And I will always love him. Happy birthday my sweet ‘, she wrote in another tribute to her husband.

It’s been a difficult last year, emotionally, for the combined Willis family, in the wake of their frontotemporal dementia (FTD) diagnoses, which came in February.

Just 11 months earlier, the family revealed that the former Moonlighting star had been diagnosed with aphasia and would be retiring from acting.

“Bruce’s condition has progressed and we now have a more specific diagnosis: frontotemporal dementia,” Emma wrote in a February 16 post. “Unfortunately, the challenges with communication are just one symptom of the illness Bruce is facing. While this is painful, it is a relief to finally have a clear diagnosis.’

Bruce Willis began his entertainment career in 1980 with an uncredited role in the film The First Deadly Sin, starring Frank Sinatra and Faye Dunaway, and a role in the television film A Guru Comes.

The successful series Moonlighting (1985-1989) is considered his breakthrough that opened the doors for him to become one of the best actors in the world.
