Emma Bunton told to ‘shut up’ by Texas singer Sharleen Spiteri during awkward Sunday Brunch clash
Emma Bunton was told by Texan singer Sharleen Spiteri to keep her mouth shut during an awkward conversation at this weekend’s Sunday Brunch.
The Spice Girl, 47, was widely criticized for attempting to cover up the unruly British weather during her appearance on the Channel 4 show, after watching host Tim Lovejoy’s chaotic spat on live broadcast.
The incident came after Tim, 55, and fellow presenter Simon Rimmer, 60, teased kart topper Sharleen, 55, about possible rain during her upcoming performance, leaving the singer rather irate.
But beaming, Emma tried to look on the bright side, saying she “liked” to dance in a downpour, while Sharleen snapped “shut up.”
The Scottish star then joked: “You enjoy dancing in the rain from the side of the stage,” hinting that the pop star would probably have backstage passes under cover and not be in the crowd with everyone else.

Tim caused chaos when he started choking and coughing uncontrollably during numerous breaks in the show.
Chef Simon even had to interrupt his fish soup demonstration to ask, “Are you all right?”
Only for Tim to reply, “No, I’m not.”
Most managed to recover during the commercial break before blaming the incident for hay fever.
He later joked that all the trees should be cut down, promoting his co-host to quickly make it clear that it wasn’t a serious suggestion.
It comes after Emma had a mini reunion with Spice Girl bandmate Mel C on Wednesday.
Baby Spice took to Instagram to delight her 1.4 million followers when she shared snaps of the couple having it all out at Harry Styles’ Love On Tour performance at London’s Wembley Stadium.
The pair looked in good spirits as they danced around the stands, with Emma and Melanie sporting goofy cowboy hats.

Still, he had plenty of fans to cheer him on at Wembley Stadium, which, at 90,000 seats, is the largest stadium in the UK and the second largest stadium in Europe.
With a host of celebrities coming to see Harry, such as David and Harper Beckham, they will no doubt have been treated like VIPs by Club Wembley, taking advantage of the hospitality packages, VIP tickets and private boxes.

The Spice Girls may also be back in the arenas soon after Mel B revealed that former bandmate Victoria Beckham is rejoining the Spice Girls for a mystery project.
The singer claimed an exciting announcement is in the pipeline for the girl power group, but kept tight-lipped.
She did promise that “all five girls,” including Mel C, Emma, Geri Halliwell, will work together professionally again for the first time in 11 years.
The last time the Spice Girls reunited was for an iconic performance at the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics.
In 2019, the band went on a tour of the UK, but fashion designer Victoria, 49, specifically chose not to take part claiming she was too busy with her clothing brand.
Mel B revealed that the five Wannabe hitmakers will soon be releasing a statement about their secret project and are currently “perfecting” it.

She gushed that it’s something fans “will really love,” but declined to provide more insight.
The singer told The sun: ‘My theory is that if I say it enough times, it will happen. But actually we intend to issue a statement.
‘What that is, I can’t say right now because we’re just putting the finishing touches on perfecting what we’re going to do together, all five of us, but it’s going to be something the fans will really love.”
When asked how the girls persuaded Posh Spice to rejoin, Mel B said it wasn’t about convincing her as they’ve “more or less always been in touch.”
She added: “It’s not like none of us talk together, we all have a WhatsApp group, but it’s just about timing.
“She’s been really busy with her fashion line and supporting David with his moves and his career and obviously she’s got a bunch of kids so it’s about finding the right time and we’ve been able to do that so there should be an announcement soon come. .’
