Emma and Matt Willis have revealed their 15-year marriage is stronger than ever after overcoming “rocky spots” throughout their relationship.

The pair joined Ben Shephard and Susanna Reid on Thursday’s Good Morning Britain where they had discussed an upcoming charity tour, but the talk soon turned to their marriage.

And after being asked what the secret behind their long-term union was, Emma, ​​47, quipped, “We still like each other, which helps!”

Meanwhile, Matt, who recently opened up about his drug fight in a recent documentary, alluded to his demons as he talked about how the couple had weathered tough times and stayed strong.

The Busted rocker, 40, told the hosts: “Most marriages go through rocky spots and ups and downs and luckily we came out the other side and it’s only made us stronger.”

Ben then delved into their 15-year marriage and asked if it was able to share those complicated life issues that made their bond stronger.

With The Voice host Emma, ​​she then shares the reasons why she thinks their relationship is working so well.

She shared, “Who really knows what the key to a long marriage is other than hard work and patience…on both sides, this is not just one sided.

“And I suppose understanding, and communication and trying to understand the other person’s point of view, which is something we’ve always tried to do.”

It comes after Matt admitted last month that he’s “always worried about relapsing” when he opened up about his drinking and drug addiction.

The Busted star bared his soul in a new documentary about his addiction battle that spent most of his life struggling to stay sober after being catapulted to fame at age 19.

And speaking to Lorraine, Matt explained that he has “certain things” that he does to help him in his ongoing recovery and confessed that he felt “selfish” for prioritizing himself and making sure he wasn’t tempted to turn to booze or drugs again.

He said: ‘I’m always a little worried about relapse, it’s a chronic relapsing addiction.

“I have certain things I do every day that I’m very, very picky about and I feel like I have to be. I felt quite selfish at times because it’s my number one priority. But without that, everything else falls to pieces.’

He added of bandmates James Bourne and Charlie Simpson, “Luckily the guys are great and love me and want me to be okay. And we have work to do, so it’s in everyone’s best interest that I don’t go down.

“I feel good about that now, everything is good with Busted now.”

“I felt like that was such a powerful part, it was kind of like she went through everything with me and stayed with me through everything and a lot of people sometimes told her not to do that.

“But he saw something in me and she knew she could help and she did en masse.”
