Eminem has filed an opposition against a trademark application filed by Gizelle Bryant and Robyn Dixon for their Reasonably Shady podcast.
The 50-year-old rapper filed the opposition on February 14, according to Page Six, claiming in the documents that his trademark would be “damaged” if he were granted the trademark.
He also claimed that the podcast’s trademark could “cause confusion in the minds of consumers.”
The rapper (born Marshall Mathers), who is developing a TV show based on his 2002 hit film 8 Mile with 50 Cent, has owned the trademark for ‘Shady’ for use on merchandise, and has exclusively used Slim Shady or for entertainment services since 1998.
Bryant, 52, and Dixon, 43, who have starred on Bravo’s Real Housewives of Potomac since it debuted in 2016, filed for the trademark weeks earlier with the intention of selling merchandise under the podcast name.
