Eminem’s adopted daughter Alaina Marie Scott has spoken for the first time since marrying partner Matt Moeller in Michigan – revealing that her father was present and walked her down the aisle.
Fans had wondered if the Slim Shady star skipped the event because he wasn’t in the picture, but Alaina has explained that he was very present.
The bride, 30, who tied the knot 18 months after announcing her engagement, said: ‘He wouldn’t miss that!’
“I had a 25-foot black and white checkered aisle and my dad walked me down the aisle,” she said. PEOPLE.
“Getting married is a sacred thing and we wanted to be surrounded by people who share our daily lives,” she added.

The “Great Gatsby glam” themed bash included 125 guests at the Packard Proving Ground Historic museum in Shelby Township, Michigan.
Alaina opted for a gorgeous mermaid dress with a jeweled headband and long, hanging veil, as she shared a gallery of snaps from her big day on Instagram on Monday.
Her sister Hailie Jade accompanied Alaina on her big day, performing as her maid of honor for the romantic occasion.
Captioning her post, Alaina wrote, “June 9, 2023 simply one of the best days of my life, ‘in this life and in the next my soul will always find yours.’
Alaina announced her engagement to her boyfriend Matt in December 2021 and posted a photo of the sweet proposal on the roof of Detroit’s Monarch Club.
Alaina is the biological daughter of Eminem’s former sister-in-law Dawn – ex-wife Kim’s twin brother – but was adopted by the rapper in 2002 after she succumbed to addiction.
After running away from home as teenagers, Dawn and Kim moved in with Eminem and his mother when he was 15, and his relationship with Kim began soon after in 1989.

The couple would marry for the first time in 1999 before divorcing in 2001, but they would remarry in 2006—disastrously—for just four months.
Dawn later died of a heroin overdose at Detroit’s Motor City Trailer Park in January 2016, aged 40.
Four months before her death, Dawn revealed her struggles to kick her drug addiction, telling Radar that Eminem and Kim gave her no help at all.
She said, “I have a millionaire brother-in-law and a sister with plenty of money.”
Dawn had been homeless since 2014, sleeping on couches and even spending nights on the streets.
She added, “One night I called my sister and told her I had nowhere to go. She said, ‘That’s not my problem. Don’t bother me,’ and hung up.’

Eminem – real name Marshall Mathers III – spoke about his relationship with Alaina in 2004, two years after he adopted her.
“My niece has been a part of my life since she was born,” he said. “Kim and I pretty much had her. She would live with us wherever we were.”
The rapper is also the parent of biological daughter Hailie Jade, 25, with his ex-wife, and is believed to be very close to her adopted sister.
The engagement comes just five months after Kim was rushed to hospital after attempting suicide the day after her own mother Kathleen Sluck’s funeral.
It was the troubled 46-year-old’s second suicide attempt after another attempt in October 2015.
Eminem famously divorced his Lincoln High School sweetheart twice, in 2001 and 2006, after less than three years of marriage.
