Eminem and Kid Rock praised by fans for putting politics aside and ‘agreeing to disagree’ without ‘hatred’

Eminem and Kid Rock are being praised by their fans for putting aside their differing political views ahead of the US presidential election next month.

Stan hitmaker Eminem, 52, endorsed Democratic candidate Kamala Harris earlier this month, while fellow rapper Kid Rock, 53, has long been a supporter of Republican candidate and former President Donald Trump.

However, the pair haven’t let their vastly different political views get in the way of their decades-long friendship with Kid Rock, providing insight into their dynamic in a new X Video.

In the clip, a shirtless Kid Rock says, “I love Eminem. We have been friends for many years. I don’t agree with his politics, but I do give him and people like Taylor Swift credit for standing up and not being afraid to speak out for what they believe in.

‘Thinking differently and having the freedom to do so is what makes this country great. My position is unequivocally MAGA, because I know in my heart, mind, body and soul that President Trump will make America great again. God bless the USA’

Eminem – real name Marshall Mathers – responded: ‘Here’s one thing @KidRock and I agree on…GO @Lions!!!! I appreciate you, Bob.

Kid Rock replied, “Thanks @Eminem – Who would have thought it would be 2 white rappers from Detroit/Michigan showing our divided country what class is and how it should be done! I appreciate you too Marshall!

Fans were quick to praise the two musicians for amicably working out their political views just days before the Nov. 5 election.

One wrote: ‘& This is how we do it. We can be divided over politics and still love thy neighbor and care about our fellow Americans!!

Another wrote: ‘Well done, hugs guys, there are bigger things than politics and football is one of them!

Others wrote: ‘This is what unity looks like people! Great job on both sides!

‘It would be nice if people would use this example to stop being so mean to each other. Well done, guys. People need to see more things like this.

Eminem fans were recently outraged after the rapper voiced his support for Democratic candidate Kamala Harris alongside former President Barack Obama in Detroit.

At a campaign event in his hometown, Slim Shady took the stage and took a subtle swipe at Donald Trump, voicing his support for Harris and saying she wasn’t seeking “retaliation.”

He then introduced Obama, who took the stage and rapped lines from Eminem’s Grammy-winning song “Lose Yourself.”

Some fans of the musician – including Tesla boss Elon Musk – expressed their dissatisfaction with the rapper’s performance.

He previously said of Trump during his successful run for president in 2016: “I’m digging Trump. I feel like a lot of people, whether you’re a Democrat or a Republican, feel like if you get Hillary or Bernie, or you get Rubio or Cruz or whoever, the same thing is going to happen.

“Has anything really changed when someone is in power, whether it’s a Republican or a Democrat? I haven’t really seen this big change. Clearly some people messed up.

‘That’s a long debate. My feeling: let the damn businessman run it like a damn business. And his campaign was incredibly entertaining.”
