Emily Ratajkowski opened up about her divorce after a four-year marriage to Sebastian Bear-McClard while appearing on Dear Media’s Going Mental Podcast with Eileen Kelly earlier this week.
The 31-year-old beauty has opened up about how she tried to find the strength to leave her marriage and struggled with her health due to anxiety.
‘I didn’t have the courage to leave for a long time. I was very, very unhappy,” she said.
Emily explained that the stress she felt from being miserable manifested in her body, saying, “I was like 100 pounds and just had a baby.” I got really skinny because I wasn’t well.’
The Versace model added that she was “trying everything” to overcome her depression.

The Gone Girl actress revealed: ‘I tried taking antidepressants. I was sure something was wrong with me.
“I think a lot of what I learned from that relationship is to trust your instincts,” he said.
The mother-of-one explained that the couple’s two-year-old son, Sylvester Apollo, made it even more difficult to change their situation.
“I had just had a son, so I really wanted to have that family, so it was especially hard for me to completely walk away,” she said.
Emily expressed that she finally had the courage to walk away when her ex had obviously crossed the line.
“For me, it was very clear and then it got clearer and clearer, which was good, which was enlightening,” Emily said.
Although she wasn’t specific about the incident, she may have been referring to the infidelity allegations that surfaced last year.
While sitting down with actress Tommy Dorfman during an episode of her High Low with EmRata podcast last month, Emily said she doesn’t think “divorce is a sad thing.”

“I know a lot of people who are unhappily married for a long time because they’re so scared of divorce, and I don’t think that’s a good way to live,” Emily said.
Ratajkowski ended his podcast episode with “cheers to the divorce.”
Since the split, Emily has kept busy appearing in multiple ad campaigns and runway shows.
On Thursday, Emily channeled Audrey Hepburn’s iconic look in the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s while rocking a black dress during the Versace show in Los Angeles.
