Emily Ratajkowski recently revealed why she became a Taylor Swift fan.

On her last High Low with EmRata podcast episode, the model, 32, shared that she wasn’t particularly interested in the singer’s music until someone she dated helped change her mind.

She also revealed that she went to one of the 33-year-old Midnights hitmaker’s recent concerts on her ongoing The Eras Tour and enjoyed the show.

“I kind of grew up (with) a little bit of snobbery around my generation,” she explained to her podcast guest, Troye Sivan, for the episode. “I wasn’t one to listen to much pop music.”

The author — who previously dated Harry Styles and now has an ex in common with Swift — one of her former beaus was “talking about (how) just because something is popular doesn’t mean it’s not excellent.”

“Actually, things that are popular are often just incredibly good,” she continued.

“I came over,” she then said of her newfound admiration for Swift. “It completely changed it for me.”

“I wasn’t a Swiftie and now I’m like, ‘You know what that means? That means I was a misogynist I didn’t fuck with Taylor Swift,'” she explained.

“She is yet another example of a woman who has faced such blatant misogyny and sexism,” she said of the video mocking the singer and her love life.

“And yet we don’t want to admit that, because she’s powerful and successful, and she’s also white,” Ratajkowski added.

“There are a lot of reasons — which I think are fair and important to bring up in the conversation as well — but that excerpt in particular was so striking to me because she communicated very clearly about why she wasn’t comfortable with what happened,” she continued.

“It made everyone laugh,” she recalls. “It really upset me.”
