Queen Camilla helped bid farewell to jockey Frankie Dettori yesterday as he ended his career in Britain in typically triumphant fashion.
The Italian ended his career in this country at Ascot by winning his last race at King Of Steel. He is now going to California to race there.
Dressed in emerald green, Camilla also paid a subtle tribute to her late mother-in-law by wearing a small diamond horse brooch given to her by the Queen.

It seems Lily Allen has taken the critics who panned her role in the West End play The Pillowman to heart – she has taken up a place on a one-year acting course in New York. The 38-year-old, right, has revealed she throws herself into learning and embracing her younger classmates.
Lily – who also appeared on stage in 2:22 A Ghost Story and starred in the Sky TV series Dreamland earlier this year – says: ‘It’s very uncomfortable sometimes. I’m currently doing a scene study with a 22-year-old boy named Ben, a nice guy, and I’m playing his mother!’
